I just want to point out that LJ still has not produced his tax returns. How can we have any confidence that he is not beholden to other BBSs or websites hostile to the interests of Plan B? And who has he appointed to advise him regarding his duties as PBPOTY? It all looks pretty fishy to me. The posters of Plan B have a right to know!
There's a rumor going around - and I'm not one to spread rumors, but I just thought I'd throw this out there to see if anyone else has heard it - sources say that Lord Jim is trying to negotiate with the Plan B Person of The Year Committee to change the name of the annual event to The Lord Jim Person of The Year Award. Further, it has been alleged that he wants to change the event to coincide with the Presidential election every four years instead of every year. It has something to do with the idea that it would bring out more voters and allow more time to be Plan B Person of The Year and make good on promises. Additionally, it has been rumored that Lord Jim wants to take over as administrator of the Plan B election process.
I realize that for Lord Jim to succeed at something like this, it would be necessary for him to have contacted me, The Plan B Person of The Year President, and offer a bribe or something like that. However, I can assure you that if something like that were to happen, which it may have not, I would launch a full investigation into the alleged crime and be fully transparent with the membership of Plan B and keep everyone briefed of the progress of said investigation.
Nevertheless, I can not comment on whether the alleged rumor is true or not and whether or not it is under investigation, due to the fact that it would not be appropriate to comment on an internal investigation, which of course I am not confirming to be in process due to the constraints of my position as Plan B Person of The Year Commissioner and Administrator.
Forget about the bribery rumor, which so many people are talking about, and I have also heard repeatedly, but which is fake news, probably. There needs to be a complete and thorough investigation of Jim's emails. I understand he uses a private server.
And he may also be a big danger to the Board; I have often seen him post glowingly of something called a "Ray Gun" which supposedly ended the cold war and could be used today to solve our problems. Indeed, he has often characterized his political philosophy as some sort of "Ray Gun" republican. Beware!

It's come to my attention that a number of people here have obviously been paid to start false rumors about me, (Though I have to admit that "The Lord Jim Person of The Year Award" does have a nice ring to it...)
The only thing that really needs to be investigated is where these false leaks are coming from, and which enemies of Plan B are paying to have them spread....
Speaking off the record here, I suspected back in the Cafe Dartre days that Lord Jim had a long term plan to dominate any BBS that he participated in. Look what happened to Cafe Dartre! CSB! CSB II!! He couldn't wrestle control from the administrators so he systematically destroyed them from within and didn't implicate himself in any way.
I'm just saying... A leopard doesn't change its stripes and a zebra doesn't horse around.
