Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Sink done.
There's a snowballs chance in hell that I might be done tomorrow.

Are you doing electrics as well?Crackpot wrote:And then there was Light!

Bah!

Re: So I go to Home Depot
I replaced the light fixture which in this case was a pain in the ass since I had to putty over the holes from the old fixture and deal with the somewhat less than preferable mounting hardware. The Hen wrote:Are you doing electrics as well?Crackpot wrote:And then there was Light!

So it was a few days without light in that bathroom.

Re: So I go to Home Depot
I knew it couldn't be that easy.
Now I have to wait till my dad gets home so I can get his expert (and cheap) plumbing advice and help.

Re: So I go to Home Depot
Well that wasn't fun. All that work and it's still not done. My dad is returning tomorrow then one more trip to Home Depot and hopefully that will do it.

Re: So I go to Home Depot
That's what YOU say!
It is never just "one more trip to Home Depot". You should know that by now. They own your soul and you will be returning as often as tehy deem it necessary.

Re: So I go to Home Depot
Finally, some truth, and after my finished patio project. I would have gone off to the nearest True Value.
Re: So I go to Home Depot
Oh there will be future trips though not (as far as I can tell) for this project.

Re: So I go to Home Depot
Beware: Labor Day is coming, and all the Home Improvement Clearance sales!
You 'll end up adding a bay window, a ceiling fan, and/or a Hydroponic garden in a closet.

Re: So I go to Home Depot
I'm sorry...
I seem to have accidentally wandered in to a home improvement project thread...
Now if you'll excuse me, I'll leave quickly before I accidentally hit my thumb with a hammer...

Re: So I go to Home Depot
You ever notice that hammers are stamped or stickered with warning labels now, that say,
Use with safety goggles'?
Does anyone actually do that?

Re: So I go to Home Depot
Wearing eye protection is a good idea for most home improvement projects. Goggles are overdoing it but safety glasses are a good idea.
Hammers have come with that warning since the 70s to my best recollection. There was also a warning not to use it to hit anything metal lest the face of the hammer chips and a piece flies off.

Re: So I go to Home Depot
good news: bath piping all together and free of leaks
Bad news: I apparently have a back pressure problem which is forcing water out the shower head whenever the faucet is on.

No you have a cross connection somewhere, or the valve that controls your shower is shot...Crackpot wrote:good news: bath piping all together and free of leaks

Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is
Re: So I go to Home Depot
lost my reply
Suffice to say you're wrong since the there is simply no room for a cross connection and the "valve" controlling the shower is in the spot and merely cuts the flow off there forcing it up the shower line.

Re: So I go to Home Depot
Well then did you change the pipe ID?
If it did leak before, and all you wanted was new stuff.
I'll not bother you again on this though...
