Tough choice but I vote for alice. She says more in her few posts, with more humanity, than all the rest of us combined.
GAH!

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Think Mark Twain and the attempt to render accented vernacular phonetically. "Your'e" in Swedespeak = "Your a".

alice is a good choice but is very short on appearences. I will have to go with SueU with BigRR a close second. Both post thoughtfully and with knowledge and fact and with civility. Plus both are here in the NorthEast like me. Sue U gets the tiebreaker on having more posts.
I did not vote in the poll so take this post as my vote.

God no, please. I don't eat liver, chopped or otherwise.

Can I be chopped lobster? Or maybe rock lobster <<cue the B52s>> see what happens to the lawyer when she doesn't sleep . . .

I don't know who I'd vote for -- too many people I enjoy to pick just one.

I'm with Guin on this, just picking one person from the many whose posts I enjoy is nearly impossible. It's the large diversity of posters and of posts that makes this place what it is.

Holy Shiite Guin & RR!!!

This is not rocket brain litigation! You are not choosing someone who you think is better than everyone else or more popular. The idea is to pick one person you think has had a meaningful impact on Plan B this year!

If the people at Time Magazine were like you two there would be no Person of the Year. They would have an annual Group Hug edition.

You don't have to say who you vote for. Just vote.

It's the American way!

That's right, if it's the same sort of criteria as the Time Person Of The Year, it doesn't necessarily have to be some one you like, or even someone you thought had a good impact...

Understood; I just can't narrow it down to one person. For others that can, I salute them.

Would you vote if you could vote for two people?

I voted for myself.

Good for you.

Now you're tied for third place. You are allowed to make a stump speech.

Perhaps, perhaps not; I'll have to ponder it. My biggest problem is picking the person (or persons) having the most meaningful impact, positive or negative.

I tried to change the poll in order to allow 2 votes per person but when I preview it, it looks like all of the existing votes will be wiped out. I don't want to try that if that will happen.

Does anyone have any thoughts on that? Is it just the preview that shows no votes?

Joe--don't change it just for me; I'm happy to leave it as it is. If people want to vote for more than one person, perhaps they could include it in their comments. the comments are interesting thus far.

I also do like the idea of being able to vote for two...

Personally I don't think if you re-set the poll that people who have already voted wouldn't vote again. (And you can still continue to include the votes that have been cast so far in the comments)

Okay. I'll wait about an hour or so (depending on my schedule it could be much longer) for more comments on whether or not I should go back and change the poll to allow 2 posts.
