chainsaw?
Re: chainsaw?
The right of way crews around here use a thing called a "Giraffe " to trim right of way with its a 4wd bucket truck with hydraulic circular saws ,they may use those little extendable chain saws too . Some companies use the helicopters with the gang circular saws ( like in the James Bond film ) to trim inaccessable right of way .

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Oh now, that's not a chainsaw. It's a chipper/shredder on steroids! A flying brush-hog from the darkest of mythologies! Good grief!

Why would I know something like that?Lord Jim, (as in Lord! Jim), where have you been for the past thirty years. You know you can buy mini "cranes" for use in trimming the back yard...
I thought I was looking at cutting edge (pun intended) technology...
I have over 19,000 posts on this bbs...
If I have a dozen in the "hardware" room, I'd be surprised....

Re: chainsaw?
I bought a non-running Craftsman chipper shredder at a garage sale for $50. The guy said it just quit the second time he tried to use it. He had used it ONCE before. Rather than get someone to fix it with a $6 carburetor jet that had vibrated out of its hole, he dumped it. I'm glad he did.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

It's amazing the power tools/equipment you can obtain for little money at yard sales.

I have a 'chainsaw on a stick' with variable extensions. It works very well and teaches foresight, deliberation and mindfulness when cutting overhead.MajGenl.Meade wrote:Lord Jim, (as in Lord! Fitness equipment you wait for after the gar(b)age sale as it is usually placed at the curb.BoSoxGal wrote:Especially fitness equipment.oldr_n_wsr wrote:It's amazing the power tools/equipment you can obtain for little money at yard sales.
