Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.
Re: Ridicules
Yes I’m not a lawyer. I do know LSD though. I lived a spartan life when I was young and took drugs for entertainment.

Lib, who is supposed to be the "Lycurgus" in this odd construction that you have presented?liberty wrote:A prophet (metaphorical) is crying in the wilderness but know no one will hear. Lycurgus cried out to his people, but they heard and that made the difference. In the end, they messed it up but it lasted a while and at least they tried.
I can hear it now and the answer is no. It is more complicated than that.
Please please tell me you're not thinking of Trump...

That's pretty much the exact opposite of Il Boobce, who clearly has no respect for justice, and seeks to trample it in his quest for "supreme power"...

A bit like Trump, neh? They both start with a lie....

Re: Ridicules
Lycurgus also instituted radical wealth and land redistribution to bring about the economic equality of all citizens. For all of the village idiot's ravings about communism, it is richly ironic that he should be an admirer of one of its earliest proponents.

Don’t be stupid I already answered that question or statement. But just to make it clear for Mama little Moron; no I am not calling the US to become Sparta. I am suggesting that we borrow some of their ideas and only for families that volunteer and only for education and not to make the same mistakes the Spartans made.

Re: Ridicules
There are a lot of similarities. The Spartans saw the Iranians under Xerxes as an evil empire. That didn't end well.

Jim, you have trump on the brain; sometimes I can go days without even thinking about him. Re: Ridicules
The village idiot's fascination with the Spartan military could derive from the, er, camaraderie for which Spartan soldiers were known. Would explain a lot...

Yeah, I know, I've foolishly allowed myself to have my attention drawn to a current President attempting to destroy all of the Constitutional checks on his power, when I should be focusing on more important things...Jim, you have trump on the brain
Like fantasy scenarios for some never-gonna-happen war between the US and Russia in the Arctic Circle...
Actually my purpose in asking about Trump regarding your latest offering was an attempt on my part to try to glean some intelligibility from your post...
What is that post supposed to be lib? Free verse? Word association? Some sort of haiku?
(It's not a palindrome; I checked...)
It reads like a meandering, complete non sequitur with no discernible point...
ETA:
I get the impression that you believe your point in that post was perfectly clear...
If that's the case, I can only conclude that when you look at that post you are seeing a bunch of additional sentences that aren't appearing on anyone elses computer screen...

Re: Ridicules
YOu just started getting that impression?
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Which point are you referring to Trump or Russia?

A clear explanation of any point you're trying to make would be fine...

Why would Joe refer any point to Trump and who in Russia should it be referred to?liberty wrote:Which point are you referring to Trump or Russia?

It is the same point I have been making for maybe a couple years now. I would seem that you guys should have it memorized:Joe Guy wrote:A clear explanation of any point you're trying to make would be fine...
We can’t beat the Russians in a long artic war. We just don’t have the warriors. Our professional army maybe the best in the world, but they are just not big enough. And we can’t afford to have a professional army large enough to do the job; it would bankrupt the country. We could put perhaps put a couple hundred thousand killers on the line to take on the Russians, but they could raise it to a couple million. An attempt at conscription would just be a replay of Vietnam.
We don’t have the troops to beat them. We can either try to produce more young people with a warrior mindset or we can adapt to a new situation, negotiate and save what we can.

Re: Ridicules
The village idiot seems to hold Russians in higher regard than his own countrymen. Perhaps someone should be taking a good look at where his real loyalties lie.

I doubt they could keep pace with the likes of our Remington, Sargent and Bellows. We'd be playing a Homer, put in a Hopper and never ask Wyeth.liberty wrote: We can’t beat the Russians in a long artic war.
