I know you feel like crap warmed over, but please continue to post and keep us posted. I was beginning to worry as I scrolled down through all those posts from yesterday before I got to yours. WE ALL CARE.

BTW, get well SOON.

Today is pretty bad. My husband is going to hospital for an infusion of some sort. He couldn’t tell me what was to be infused. I am too. Sick to go with him. My o2 sat running 91-93%. My lungs hurt so bad and my temp is 101.7F. I don’t feel like I have that kind of temp. I can’t get ahold of my doctor so I may go to the immediate care. I really don’t have the muster to get dressed and go through.

This is absolutely awful. Sadly for BSG I fully intend to survive.

My guess would be remdesivir. I think I got an infusion of it every day until I rounded the corner. They may decide to keep him for a while.

I hope the immediate care center tells you to go to the hospital too. I think you need more care than you can give yourself at home.

Thanks for keeping us posted.

Happy New Year! I am still here!

Husband was infused with casirvimab and imdevimab. Yeah, I never hear of it either. I called my oncall to see about qualifying and I did and was to get the infusion Sunday, but I was unable to give them proof of being positive. I asked for the rapid test which is done inhouse. Had it been by the longer method the company would have sent me an email declaring my positive status. I could not get the man who called me from the hospital to understand. He was supposed to make some inquiries and call me back. I am kind of thinking "fuck it". I am no longer running a fever and managed to wash dishes and carry groceries in from outside from a delivery. I don't feel great but I have felt worse with double pneumonia.

Nurses are horrible patients they think they’re indestructible.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

I understand that there are limits, but I also understand what to look for to see if I am that ill. In the morning I will probably think I am dying again because I have been coughing till I am dizzy and weak when I first get up. Time will tell all.

Congrats to making it to 2021!

It's still 2020 as I post this.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Go get the vaccine, @W.  I have complete trust in it because it is made by Pfizer – the same company that makes Viagra®.

If Pfizer can raise the dead, I'm quite sure they can save the living.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

So my SIL called and said she was bringing over some food. Husband explained that we we aren’t eating much. “I will just bring a little”, she said. She brought over a damned mountain of food. Biscuits, sausage gravy, ham and beans a pan of sloppy joe meat, a pan and a half of corn bread a pan of peanut butter fudge, an entire cinnamon coffee cake, several loaves of bread, lunch meat and cheese of several varieties.

Sadly we don’t have any desire to eat. Hell, we couldn’t eat all this on a full health day.. Our freezer and fridge are already stuffed full and there is no room for it all. We can’t give it away as our cooties are on them. I guess our backyard possum friends are going to eat hearty.

If you want to help someone with covid a little chicken soup will do.

ETA: Husband informed me that I left out mention of a crockpot size container of beef stew. Help.

It's a good thing your husband didn't tell your SIL that you were hungry.

So we sprayed down the pans with Lysol and set it outside and his son is coming over to get it so it won’t go to waste. We kept just the beef stew and small pan of cornbread. They are so excited over it.

Hoorah.

The secret to giving a home cooked meal that little extra appeal is to spray a couple shots of Lysol on the pans.

Don’t knock it unless you’ve tried it.

I'm gonna try it tonight on my salad bowl. Does it matter if some of it gets on the food? Based on what I've heard from our president, any overspray would knock covid out of my system in about a minute. Maybe you should try it on your stew.

I hope you and your husband are feeling better soon. Really I do....

Fomite transmission is extremely rare, which is researcher lingo for no one is getting Covid touching a surface then putting their unwashed hand in their mouth. However, all the hand-washing and surface wiping (and physical distancing) should make this a pretty mild cold and flu season. Although, I like the image of spraying Lysol all over a plate of food, making many parts edible 8-)

Feed a fever, starve a cold. She’s just doing her bit!

I’d also keep the cornbread. Glad someone other than the possums is enjoying the rest of it.
