Can you even sit down with that stick so far up your ass?

It's called humor, it's called a joke, it's called exaggeration for the sake of the LOLs, and most people will see at it that way.

Except for you.  Tell me, what time does the rally start where you and your fellow feminazis burn all the Alan King books and hang Henny Youngman in effigy because they had the gall to make jokes about their wives?

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

On the Birth of a Son
~ SU TUNG-PO

Families when a child is born
Hope it will turn out intelligent.
I, through intelligence
Having wrecked my whole life,
Only hope that the baby will prove
Ignorant and stupid.
Then he'll be happy all his days
And grow into a cabinet minister.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

Yo BB, not funny. Not even a little. Neither is the word “feminazi.” Remember, women were not allowed to vote until 1921, and we’re still marching for our fundamental rights today, so of course we are feminists. Real men are our allies, and are feminists, too.

BSG, now your poem from Su Tung-Po I find very funny. Maybe I could even say it about our current POTUS. I did say I thought he made a very good adviser, but was not a leader.

I pass on what may be Leonard Cohen's last poem. He read it at the release party for his last album "You Want It Darker". He said he had written it just 'last night' and died only days thereafter.

Listen to the Hummingbird
Leonard Cohen

Listen to the hummingbird
Whose wings you cannot see
Listen to the hummingbird
Don't listen to me.

Listen to the butterfly
Whose days but number three
Listen to the butterfly
Don't listen to me.

Listen to the end of God
Which doesn't nee to be
Listen to the mind of God
Don't listen to me.

Listen to the hummingbird
Whose wings you cannot see
Listen to the hummingbird
Don't listen to me.

BP - I have to agree about President Biden, he was a most excellent Vice President to a charismatic but young and inexperienced leader, but he lacks charisma and the combination of his gaffes and his lack of focus/drive are definitely undermining his efficacy as President. He is quite obviously also hampered by the most intransigent Congress of my lifetime and the many whammies involved in the ongoing global pandemic.

I do think that Biden is a few steps above the typical bureaucrat that Su Tung-Po considers in his ancient poem, and he certainly saved his country by winning election last year over the looming autocrat. Sadly I don’t have much confidence in his ability to rally to another win and I remain convinced that our country’s fall to autocracy is merely temporarily on hold.

For BP/snail
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

Masterpiece by one of the best lyricists to ever live...
(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit lonely and you're never coming round
(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit tired of listening to the sound of my tears
(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit nervous that the best of all the years have gone by
(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit terrified and then I see the look in your eyes
(Turn around, bright eyes)
Every now and then I fall apart
(Turn around, bright eyes)
Every now and then I fall apart
(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit restless and I dream of something wild
(Turnaround)
Every now and then
I get a little bit helpless and I'm lying like a child in your arms
(Turnaround)
Every now and then
I get a little bit angry and I know I've got to get out and cry
(Turnaround)
Every now and then
I get a little bit terrified but then I see the look in your eyes
(Turnaround bright eyes)
Every now and then I fall apart
(Turnaround bright eyes)
Every now and then I fall apart
And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
'Cause we'll never be wrong
Together we can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time
I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna to start tonight
Forever's gonna to start tonight
Once upon a time I was falling in love
Now I'm only falling apart
There's nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the heart
Once upon a time there was light in my life
But now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart

(Turnaround, bright eyes
Turnaround, bright eyes
Turnaround)

Every now and then
I know you'll never be the boy you always wanted to be
(Turnaround)
Every now and then
I know you'll always be the only boy who wanted me the way that I am
(Turnaround)
Every now and then
I know there's no one in the universe as magical and wondrous as you
(Turnaround)
Every now and then
I know there's nothing any better, there's nothing that I just wouldn't do
(Turnaround bright eyes)
Every now and then I fall apart
(Turnaround bright eyes)
Every now and then I fall apart
And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you'll only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
'Cause we'll never be wrong
Together we can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time
I don't know what to do, I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Once upon a time I was falling in love
Now I'm only falling apart
There's nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the heart
Once upon a time there was light in my life
But now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart
A total eclipse of the heart
A total eclipse of the heart
Turn around, bright eyes
Turn around, bright eyes
Turn around...

Jim Steinman was definitely a talented lyricist. That’s one of my favorites from my teen years and to this day still love it, thanks for giving me reason to revisit it on YouTube.
