South Park totally pwned Mel in 'Passion of the Jew'. You just gotta hope he stops breeding.

Mel B (aka "Scary Spice")

Maybe there is something about that name which drives them crackers?

If Woody Allen and Roman Polanski can have their careers continue, Gibson will likely be heard from again.

If it were Mel Smith it'd make me laugh...

Should I accept that these are authenticated recordings of Mel Gibson?

Well Joe, if it isn't Gibson, how would you account for the points I raised yesterday in this thread?
As for the possibility that it wasn't Gibson, I think that's very remote...

First of all I doubt that William Morris would have dropped him if he was telling them that it was a hoax. And second, (and even more indicative) as clearly damaging as this is, by now, (the first tape came out three days ago) surely Gibson, or his attorney, or some spokesperson for him, would have come forward to publicly claim that this was a hoax...

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE. I AM *NOT* A GRAMMER OR SPELLING NAZI, BUT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIX THE UNNECESSARY AND INCORRECT APOSTROPHE IN "BIDS." AND MAKE SURE YOUR CHILDREN LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN POSSESSIVE AND PLURAL AND WHEN TO USE CONTRACTIONS.

Thank you very much.

Fixed it....

I'm sure you'll agree Guin, that it's a GREAT thing that we have an editing system that allows me to go in and correct a mistake like that two days after I made it, rather than some fascist time limit like 30 minutes....

Now maybe you can take out your Miss Grundy ruler and rap Strop's knuckles for "sublty" in the subject line of his "Tea Party" thread.... :)

Ahhh, thank you. :D

Really, most stuff like that doesn't bother me but the misplaced/excessive apostrophes makes me nuts (and that's *Ms.* Grundy, thank you very much)!

its a shame that it's so hard for people to realze the difference between possessive and plural. :beam:

Of course, in this case the term "bids" was neither a possesive/plural nor a contraction, but the third person singular conjugation of the present tense of the verb "to bid". Just to make the grammatical record correct, by one who makes plenty of typos, but knows the rules.

Hard to believe she's 40, she looks late twenties or younger.
