In the interests of making it more interesting, it is with reluctance but a certain amount of glee that I have altered one vote to create the maximum number of persons having four votes each. I'm sure that like the Powerball fuss, the media will be all over this potential division of spoils

According to my official officiating calculations, Meade's strategy currently puts 7 people in a tie for Second Place.

That's why I'm the official Plan B Person of the Year Award official and you're not. I can see beyond the obvious and count the obviously written write-in votes.

And it was a 7 way tie for second place a few minutes ago.

This is a tough job. Not just anyone could do it.

Right.  This is too important to let just anyone botch it up. :nana

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

I still have three votes for sale. Any takers?

Oh wait, I don't vote in polls.
Never mind.

This whole 3 vote thing is ridiculous. One vote each would make more sense than this, unless you could cast all 3 for your favorite, which actually wouldn't mean any more than one vote. I am resceinding all votes except the one for RB and will be heading off in the sunset for a bit.

You're on a roll, oldr. First it's other people's bottoms and now you want to know about @w getting a bit? I rescind all votes for oldr, even if I didn't make 'em

Update from your Plan B Person of the Year Award President/Facilitator & Calculator:

There appears to be a conspiracy among the voters in which some or all of you are attempting to give all candidates listed in the poll an equal amount of votes. Don't think that I haven't noticed there are now 28 total votes in the poll as opposed to 33 that were once posted.

If my suspicion turns out to be true, I will be forced to take some kind of action. Don't push me. I'm not tolerant of humorous jokes being played by people who think I'm not observant enough to see what's going on.

Official Answer: The '3 vote thing' was put in place to get BigRR to vote. It took some difficult negotiations to get him to participate. He's such a pain in the ass that way but in the interest of having him interested in the poll, as Commissioner and Lead Negotiator, I put the 3 vote thing into place. (please note there is no 'C' in the word Negotiate)

P.S. I suspect your rescindification of two votes may be part of a larger conspiracy. You are a suspect.

Well just don't try to pull a stunt like you did two years ago, where me and oldr and Sue all tied for first place but Sue was somehow declared the winner...

Yeah, I remember that... 8-)

As I am the person with the extremely important responsibility of declaring the winner of the Plan B Person of the Year Award, I would like to respond to your post.

There are times when a person of my status must make difficult decisions based on circumstances beyond and within my control along with the immediate situation notwithstanding. Then and now were difficult times for the world as a whole, especially in the more difficult places in the word. Consequently, opinions and reasoning are often intertwined for a multitude of purposes and therefore clarity is of utmost importance at all times whether or not those times are relevant to the current cause.

Although correlation does not imply causation, it does sometimes infer a result that may differ from other results, as the case may be. When we are faced with life's challenges we often look to others for an explanation.

I hope this helps.

It's clearly time for a coup d'etate. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Out with the dictator and in with a committee. Things always run more smoothly with a committee.
