7/12 and 310 SweeTarts.
I could have probably done a little better but I didn't have a lot of time to think over a couple of them.  I knew I had to select quickly to try to come even close to LJ's high-water mark.

8/12 and 359 leftover "I'm with Her" buttons.
Started out strong (five in a row) but faded in the stretch.

9/12 gets me 374 pussyhats.

P.S. - I loved their explanation (in the intro to the quiz) of the demise of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus: "First, the circus stopped using elephants in its performances, which caused a drop in ticket sales. Then, all the clowns left to join the Trump administration."

Slate Quiz 1.27.17

A most sucky 6/12 for 261 stale Pringles...

Alternative facts are not acceptable when answering the Slate News Quiz, even though it would make writing questions a snap since every answer is correct. For example: "Who is the 45th President of the US? a. Donald J Trump, b. Captain Underpants, c. Adolf Hitler, d. Yertle the Turtle."
