I use the same start word every day, someday it will be my one and done and then I will change it. Mostly vowels and two very common consonants.

Do you use the same start word every day? I am curious other people's strategies with this game. A friend told me recently that she uses the first five letter word she hears on NPR that morning as her start word - that seems totally random and not entirely helpful, more superstitious than anything?

I used to switch the start word every day, but I've been using the same one now for over a year. I have exactly one first-guess win, which was the last time I changed it. Mine has the 2 most common vowels, the most common consonant, and a common 2-letter combo. It's a really common word so I'm surprised it hasn't been used yet.
