C'mon guys (and guyettes). It's The City of London (the square mile) in the same way as it's The Ohio State University. There's just the one with the capital letters. All those "the city" things and "the Michigan Wolverines" etc. are just pale imitation wannabes. Keepin' on sayin' it don't make it so for those non-London and non-Buckeye pretenders.

Unfortunately, due to the UK storms, one of the most beautiful train journeys in the UK has been destroyed.

I used to live in Dawlish, took a winter let there, it's a real beauty, a faded gem of a Victorian seaside resort.

Cornwall's taken a battering too...

Taken from my home village, the lighthouse tower in this clip is 35 meters high!

With sea level rising we'll just have to move everything up-hill. This would be due to the global warming that isn't happening.

Just ask the GOP.

Another 2" of snow overnight. More to come this wednesday/thursday.
Those damn acorns were correct again.
Did I say I like the snow?
I do.

So do I, but I also want to ride my snowmobile. There is enough snow now in Pa to ride but current family matters are priority one.

I hadto cut the grass today in 90F sunshine but I waited until 2pm to make sure it was really really hot and didn't wear a shirt! You don't want to imagine the sweat pouring off me.

For once, you and I are in total agreement.

Not yet.

They are debating on whether we will get snow and rain, rain and snow, rain, sleet and snow or snow, sleet and rain.
Any combo, it's going to be heavy shoveling.

I wonder if I have any personal days left?
Gob, care to send a few days my way?

Given the astronomical scores run up in the typical match, when it comes to their "bowlers" cricket teams must hire a lot of pastry chefs....

Yes, but it's not uncommon for one team to "score" as many as 300 "runs" in a single day...

As I've said before, it's "The Cricket Mystery"...

How can a game in which so little ever happens, result in such high scores?...

It's a puzzle... :?
