Prince is Dead?

And if you read carefully Ruby started the bitch fest. He wrote that I was an ignorant bitch. He wears it better though.

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

"But then liberals aren't big on the issue of personal responsibility by my experience."
as a knee-jerk liberal for my entire life, I would like to respond to this. First data point: there are some people whose life history indicates their own resources (all of them, including wisdom, finances, social support network, and all the rest) bring them to personal harm, harm to others around them, and other generally undesirable experiences as most of society judges such things. Data point two. the liberal is fundamentally unable to do nothing while observing the individual in data point one. Thus I agree with the statement at the beginning of this post.
I had a friend, now dead, who commiserated with me on this problem but opined that they would prefer to step politely over the body on the sidewalk and go on with their own life. That is the conservative's result of going big on personal responsibility.
Each person must find their own compromise on this social problem.

My attitude comes from seeing how poorly people take care of themselves then scream, and rant and expect medicals to fix them after a lifetime of excess and or neglect, ignoring all advice until a reversal of fortune is impossible. I also see too much of our tax resources squandered on this segment of society.
I used to pour my soul into it and now realize I have to save something for myself.

Bribing an unethical MD isn't terribly different than self medicating.
You ignorant bitch.
You learned merely hate and despise your patients rather than to appreciate how different circumstances can change the way one reasons.
Your own reasoning is stunted emotionally to a degree greater than that of an obese diabetics medical reasoning.
I'll bet that most of your unfortunate patients know you better than you think they do.

Just about any and every opioid is available as a street drug now. And with the gov (local, state and national) clamping down on over prescribers, many opioid users are turning to the black market for their pills and/or turning to heroin. The "legal" opioids are way too expensive now.Burning Petard wrote:Percocet? I did not know this was a street drug now. Used to be made by DuPont Pharm department. I thought most of the abusers of this stuff were in the medical industry. But there was a story out today from a family member that He had been awake and functioning non-stop with out sleep for more than 100 hours. That sounds more like coke or speed, not an opioid.

Ketamine (aka special K) and Fentanyl laced heroin are the new "in" drugs.
And there is a dark side to the opioid antidote narcan that is becomming common. Narcan blocks the opioid receptors and the addict who shoots up (after recieving narcan for a prevvious overdose within a few hours/days) tends to overdose again (even worse) as he/she needs more to "get past" the blocked receptors.
I would guess that Prince didn't have to worry about price, if he even had to go to the illegal drug trade for his pills.
Re: Prince is Dead?
Ooopsy!!
Pills seized from the home of singer Prince contained the dangerously powerful synthetic opioid fentanyl but were mislabelled, according to reports.
Speaking to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, officials investigating the artist's death said the pills were labelled as hydrocodone, a weaker type of opioid.
Autopsy results released in June revealed Prince died of an accidental fentanyl overdose.
Officials told the Associated Press the singer had no prescriptions for controlled substances at the time.

Mislabeled? Duh! Imagine that? In my youthful adult haze none of the pills I had stashed away in a myriad of 35mm film canisters were ever prescribed or labeled correctly, either. And fentanyl -- when available -- was always a "stand alone" drug, never cut with anything else.Gob wrote:... Jesus Christ died for nothing, I suppose...
