Official Declaration of the result of your vote for the Plan B Person of the Year Award:

This year, being a different year from past years, will be dealt with in a way that isn't the same as was done in past elections. I have seriously considered suggestions made by our fine membership, struck them down and come up with a ruling of my own. Managing the voting process for Plan B Person of the Year is not easy. Executive decisions are not always popular and it takes a person who possesses perspicacious fortitude to make them and you may quote me if you'd like.

Nevertheless, I will explain the reason for my decision even though I have no obligation to do so or so do, as the case may be as a matter of fact.

Firstly, there is no procedure to allow anybody to give one's votes to another person no matter how many times a person says that it is her will. Do I have to say again that it is wrong to give away the votes you received from well-intentioned trusting individuals? I should hope not but I see that hope is wasted when the person repeating an unacceptable idea aims a deaf ear toward an unappealable declarative binding proclamation.

Furthermore, to address another proffered suggestion, the Plan B Person of the Year Award is not a lottery. In order to preserve the integrity of the Plan B Person of the Year Award process, it is incumbent upon me, the Plan B Person of the Year Award CEO, to ensure that the recipient of the Plan B Person of the Year Award is not given recognition in a arbitrary non-contextual manner.

Moreover, as the Plan B Person of the Year Award rulebook is a living document inside my head, it is subject to change when I, the Plan B Person of the Year Award Foundation Founder, decide change is appropriate.

Consequently, the 2015 Plan B Person of the Year Award will be modified as follows:

For the year 2015 there shall be a Plan B Man of the Year Award and a Plan B Woman of the Year Award.

Therefore, the Plan B Woman of the Year Award goes to – Guinevere
