‘Just Call Them All N**gers,’ School Administrators Allegedly Say In Texts

By Associated Press

COATESVILLE, Pa. — A prosecutor says officials at a large southeastern Pennsylvania school district exchanged “shockingly racist” text messages on district phones.

Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan told The Associated Press on Monday that his office learned of the messages during an investigation into the Coatesville Area School District.

He says the text messages “looked like something from 1813, not 2013.”

The Daily Local News of West Chester says Superintendent Richard Como (pictured left) and Director of Athletics and Activities Jim Donato (pictured right) used the district-owned cellphones to exchange a series of racist texts in June. Both resigned abruptly during the first week of school.

Here are a few exchanges between the two school officials, according to The Daily Local News:

In an often unintelligible exchange of messages, the pair repeatedly used well-known and offensive racial slurs while discussing students, faculty, and members of the athletics department.

“All should just have whatever first names they want…then last name is N—-R!,” Donato wrote to Como. “Leroy N—-r, Preacher N—-r, Night train n—-r, clarence n—-r, Latoya n—-r, Thelma n—-r and so on.”

“Great idea!” Como responded. “Joe n—-r bill n—-r snake n—-r got a nice ring to it.”

The conversation did not end there, as Como and Donato continued to use the slur as they appeared to discuss students in the school district.

“Could have whole homerooms of n—-r!” Como wrote.

“Hahahahaha!” Donato responded. “Will N—-r report to the office, pardon the interruption but will n—-r report to nurses office. N—-r to lunch now!”

On June 7, the pair exchanged another round of text messages discussing the then pending layoffs of district teachers and the recent firings of other black employees.

“Man some week for sure but will be topped Tuesday night by Delco vs. Ritter. Campbell fight over Dunn financial claims and sneak attack in wings,” Como wrote.

“Jesus christ! Can’t get much better (worse),” Donato replied. “Blood in water…”

“Right this could be classic conclusion to board meetings by end of month 23 (teachers) get clipped Tuesday a.m. before committee meeting and prob 6 to 9 more in July if Ritter budget numbers right,” Como said.

“How many n—-rs out of 23?” Donato asked. “Not enough!”

“Don’t know but think it’s only 4-5. At most until last minute rush of firing by Goo of Phoenix and Kamara,” Como answered.

“Good hangings there,” Donato wrote. The conversation continued with more obscene language.

Phone listings for Como and Donato weren’t immediately available.

Here's a link to the actual texts: (As difficult as this may be to believe, they're actually even worse than the excerpts in the article would indicate...)

I understand from another news source that these two zany cut-ups have resigned...

"Nigger" is simply a convenient shorthand for, "Student of Black African Ancestry." It's hard to text that with only one thumb.

If you look at the texts, you'll see that they take a little time out from their Lester Maddox impersonations to also insult a Latino, (Who they refer to as "Taco") and a Jewish woman...(Apparently, much like Richard Nixon, when it came to making bigoted comments, they wanted to make sure they didn't leave anybody out...)

Thank goodness racism doesn't actually exist in America and is only a fiction manufactured by race hustlers.

The context makes it even worse, suggesting that they should fire all the black teachers; or only black teachers.

I give them credit for having shame and resigning. Good luck finding a job.

Sue, I don't know of anyone who's tried to claim that....

Clearly real racism continues to exist in this country; it would be foolish to suggest otherwise.

But fictional racism manufactured by race hustlers also exists in this country. And these types bear a significant measure of responsibility for hampering efforts to deal with the real racism. Every time allegations of racism are made when they are clearly inappropriate, it both trivializes the real problem, and plays into the hands of those who would try to claim that real racism isn't a problem.

Frivolous accusations of racism have also had the cumulative effect of getting a large portion of the public to tune out the subject all together.

Living and working around that area, it doesn't surprise me. I was calling some softball games in Norristown and while waiting for the previous game to finish, I and my daughter were sitting on the bleachers. The conversation from some of the pillars of the community made me think I was in 1955 Alabama.

It manifests itself as "racism", but the epidemic is more commonly known as "stupidity".

That's an excellent point eddie...

Racism is just a symptom of the underlying condition... 8-)

CASD School Board allows Como, Donato to resign

Despite 3-hours of public comment asking for firings, board votes 6-1 to accept resignations

CALN – The Coatesville Area School District Board of Education voted 6-1 on Tuesday night to allow the resignations of former Superintendent Richard Como and former Athletic Director James Donato.

After three hours of public comment from taxpayers, parents, students, administrators, and former staff calling for the resignation of school board members, demanding the firing of Como and Donato, and asking questions about the DA’s ongoing investigation, School Board President Neil Campbell said that he never reconsidered his decision to vote in favor of allowing Como and Donato to resign.

“I’ll tell you right now, if I felt I did something wrong, I’d step down immediately,” he said. “I know that I’m doing the best for this community. They may not know it right now, but they will down the road, and that is part of the healing process.

The lone dissenting vote was Dr. Tonya Thames Taylor — who is also the president of the Coatesville NAACP — who spent much of the night under fire for her conduct in the matter.

Reading a prepared statement, Campbell said that termination would require legal action, an expense that the school board did not want to incur.

Campbell also said that the board was acting in the community’s best interest by not explaining the details of the DA’s investigation.

“I was basically—and this entire board—was upholding what the DA (Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan), we felt, needed in order to do this investigation properly,” he said. “That’s exactly what we did, and we still to this day feel that feel we did the best that we had to do for this community.”

Campbell’s response comes in the wake of Hogan’s comments that he never told the board that they could not discuss the investigation.

“We did not put constraints on them,” Hogan said. “They were free to discuss the text messages.”

During his statement, Campbell said that Como and Donato would not receive “one red cent” from the district. He said that whether or not Como receives a pension is not up to the school board but is decided by the Pennsylvania State Retirement System.

Campbell also mentioned that the DA will be looking into alleged kickbacks involving the football team, which was met with cheers by the standing room-only audience.

Tuesday night’s meeting heard impassioned opinions from many members of the community. While many speakers called the resignations of the entire board, much of the public’s anger was directed at acting Superintendent Dr. Angelo Romaniello, Board Solicitor James Ellison, and School Board Member Dr. Tonya Thames Taylor.

Many residents felt that Taylor, who is also president of the Coatesville NAACP, was acting under a conflict of interest.

“She’s wearing two hats, and she should be out here with us [the members of the NAACP],” said NAACP member Jimmy Jackson.

Tuesday night’s meeting also revealed that acting Assistant Superintendent Dr. Teresa Powell worked with District IT Specialist Abdullah Hawa to reveal the racist text messages.

“I absolutely love my job, but I love being a person with integrity even more,” she said to applause from the audience.

Even in the agitated atmosphere of the meeting, some people focused on positives. Former Pastor John Carlson offered prayer, while others called for unity from residents and praised the district’s students and teachers.

“That doesn’t define our student body,” Student School Board Representative Paul Draper said of the text messages. “They [the students] succeed in life not in spite of the education they receive here but because of the education they receive here.”

I've never seen the point of firing someone who was willing to resign. The latter is far less messy all around.

Oh, you mean like those frivolous accusations so popular at Faux News? (Try as he might, that dipshit Tucker Carlson couldn't get Chris Wallace to bite. Where are Gretchen, Steve and Not-Steve when you need them?)

IT'S NOT NICE TO MAKE FUN OF CRAZY PEOPLE
Chris Wallace Won’t Listen To The Voices In Tucker Carlson’s Head Telling Him Obama’s Racist

by Rebecca Schoenkopf

Tucker Carlson is a man who does not like racism, nosiree. That is why, when the president, a known black man, spoke to the Congressional Black Caucus about the threats to defund or repeal Obamacare, and said “we have faced far darker threats than this,” Tucker Carlson knew down to the very marrow of his unracist tippytoes that this kind of racism must not stand.

Wait, how is that racist? you are asking, because unlike Tucker Carlson, you lack the voices in your head explaining that “words” to “black people” spoken by a “black man” are automagically racist. Like, he could say, “thank you for the sandwiches,” and Tucker Carlson’s voices would know that that was racist, and he does not need to explain why! (Also racist: speaking any words to black people at all.)

So. This is a fun video, even though it has Tucker Carlson in it! Like, Chris Wallace cannot even believe Tucker Carlson’s demand that he recognize B. Barry Bamz’s obvious racism that nobody else can hear or smell or see or feel. He is probably actually wondering whether Tucker Carlson is actually mentally ill at this point, and he makes a pretty great face!

Sometimes Chris Wallace is okay! Then he goes back to being Chris Wallace.
