Same to you Jarl. I'm at work for now. We'll see what developes. Got the tractor ready and hte gen nearby. Trickle charger on the tractor (battery is a little lame) and with the cold they are predicting even a good battery will have trouble. Good thing I also have a 60amp starter/booster too. Fired up the generator, two pulls and vrooom. Ran it for a bit to warm it up and filled the gas cans too.
Hopefully they will keep the LIE passable. No need to worry about high tides, I'm in hte middle (north and south) of the island. If the tide gets to my house, Long Island is underwater.

I recall Guin is right on the water in Hull, MA.

I ran up my genset yesterday & Liz topped off the gas cans this morning.

My son leaves for there in a couple of weeks. He (and his girlfriend) have a house in na community on Lake Towakani (sp?)

They lied their ass off. Up to 1 more inch today.

About 5" of snow so far...8 degrees an hour ago. As expected, I'm not working tomorrow.

I'm fine, all hunkered down and my car is on high ground. Winds in the 30s now, tides building for midnight. Today's high wasn't bad, tonight and tomorrow noon will be the worst. But the house isn't shaking yet, so this isn't *much* of a storm -- so far

Now our accumulation is to be 8-10" with areas that will receive significantly more. I went out into the milk and bread stampede and bought a kerosene heater and fuel just in case. Not due to go to work until Tuesday so time to hunker down and snuggle up.

All done here...no idea how much we got, it drifted so badly. Wild guess: about 8". But it's COLD outside! 0 now & dropping.

I know how you feel. After all week in the 80s, it barely got up to 65 degrees today! I nearly had to put on a jacket! (I'm on vaca in South Florida. )

12-15 here, windblown, some flooding and icing. Below zero temps tonight and winds are still going a bit, so I won't even bother to figure out the windchill. Oh and my fever is back. Bah.

More snow for us tomorrow was below 0 this am supposed to be cold again tomorrow am
