I'm not sure averages provide any useful information when spread over such a large and diverse group (age 15 and up?).

But I don't think many people would dispute the conclusion. Women carry the heavier load in child rearing and maintaining the inside of the house. But then again, we are burdened with keeping track of the local sports teams.

I see a lot of limitations in this, but the biggest one is the complete disconnect between this assertion:

Women are less affluent than men

And the study itself...

The study doesn't even address the issue of "affluence"; it attempts to measure "free time"....

Only someone completely ignorant of the meaning of the word "affluence" could possibly see this as...

oh wait; yeah...

Never mind...

It takes a study to confirm women do more work around the house? Was that done by the same scinecestists who needed to collect data to determine gawky male dancers don't attract women as easily as smooth male dancers?

Some people just don't know how to win gracefully. Here we, men that is (and a few women probably), used our great invention, science [the savior of mankind] to prove that what you only supposed to be true WAS true! And I'll bet you didn't know about that right-leg left-leg thing at all did you? Ungrateful, that's what I call it.

* Generalization alert! This applies to most, nearly all really, but not ALL women. My wife, for one example is not a bit like this.
