Why is it considered rude to POST USING ALL CAPITAL LETTERS??????

People respond as though the author WHO IS USING ALL CAPS is actually yelling and they tell the person to quiet down and stop USING CAPS BECAUSE THAT MEANS THEY ARE YELLING!!!!!

Have people gone cyber-nuts?

Somebody explain to me why I should be offended by PEOPLE USING ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.

When you read something LIKE THIS do yours ears start ringing or something?

Is it cyber etiquette?

WHO IN THE HELL DECIDED THAT EVERYONE SHOULD BE IRRITATED WHEN SOMEONE POSTS IN CAPITAL LETTERS???

Just a thought.

As we all know it is difficult to express tones over this form of expression. Capital letters has long been deemed "yelling" when used in conversations on forums or in chat rooms. I feel it is important to maintain the distinction since so few distinctions are available.

Interesting, when typing conversations I tend to put spoken words in italics.

Also using progressively larger fonts for increasing volume is now a common stylising.
