Maryland woman says pot came with fast-food order

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — A Frederick, Maryland, woman says she was served a bag of marijuana with her fast-food order at a Sonic drive-in.
The Frederick News-Post reported Friday that Carla McFarland says she found the little plastic baggie in a container along with the French fries she bought Wednesday in Frederick.
McFarland says she complained to a manager and called police. She says a manager later told her an employee had been fired after saying the bag must have slipped from her apron.
Franchise owner John Louderback confirms that the employee no longer works there.
The Frederick County Sheriff's Office says it's investigating the matter.
McFarland isn't laughing. She says her two young children were in the car, within easy reach of the bag.
Sonic Corp. is based in Oklahoma City.
What was McFarland worried about? Was the bag of pot going to attack her kids?
Don't tell me they might have opened the bag and ate it. The mother would have to be extremely negligent for that to happen.
Her complaint was probably just a precursor to a lawsuit she will likely be filing. She will claim that she has severe mental anguish and her children now have an irrational fear of french fries.

I think I'd be pretty ticked if I found any foreign object in my food, particularly when the food is intended to be eaten by children.

Well, at least she was honest enough to own up to it...
I think that what happened here, is that you had a young lady who was making a little extra money selling weed to her friends and delivering it to them in the drive-through check out at
Sonic...
And she made the mistake of putting a little plastic baggie of pot in the wrong bag of burgers...
Bad judgement yes, but not something that should be a life altering mistake...

Sonic should figure out how to make that delivery when their irritating commercials are about to air; how those two dorks have remained the face of the franchise for several years now is a mystery to me. I'd say they've kept me away but the closest Sonic is at least 30 minutes away.

Why
anyone would want those two lame-brained dumb and dumber losers as their marketing symbol is beyond me...
Even the talking lips were better...
