Tati's off to cheerleader camp...

I dropped her off at 7 this morning at Mercy to meet up with the other girls going to Cheerleader Camp...(they had a charter bus for Mercy and several other Catholic high schools in the area...the camp is actually out near Santa Cruz,...
)
I had mixed feelings about her becoming a cheerleader; she's certainly got the package for it, she's skinny and limber and has the long blonde hair goin' on...(her mother's pleased; she was a cheerleader back in the day...)
Well, it's a girl's school so I don't have to worry about football players...
(If this were her only activity, I'd be concerned, but it isn't; she also runs track, she's in the choir, she does drama, and she's on the student council...)
And I know she's really keen to do this; she's been on summer mode, rolling out of the sack at 10, 11 in the morning, but yesterday she was packing for the trip at four in the afternoon, and excited about it every minute after that...(I understand that teenagers have certain sleep needs, and it's not like she's out late; but sometimes I get irritated when she's still in bed at 10:30, 11, and I send Jimmy in to bounce on her bed...
)
A friend of hers who also made the squad spent the night with us; so we dropped them both off this morning...They didn't crash till after midnight, so I figured I'd really have to work to get their butts in gear at six so they'd get to the school by seven...
I needn't have been concerned; Tati came in and woke me up at 5:30 to make sure I would get them there on time...(I figure they must have slept on the bus...)
Anyway, we talked to her a little while ago and it sounds like she's having a blast...
She'll be back Wednesday...
