I imagine that in Kansas, they'll correct this glitch in the law pretty quickly...

Or not; absent some sort of lascivious behavior, what's the big hang up on nudity? I might not want a nude person sitiing on a restaurant chair before me, but walking down the street? So what?

Well, we've been 'round and 'round on this before, and as I'm sure you know, you can put me solidly in the camp of those who finds requiring people not to parade their rashy asses and naughty bits on public streets as a very reasonable and minimal sacrifice to make for public decorum. (Lord knows we have few enough of them)
I'd bet that most folks in Kansas will see it that way as well. I don't know when the Kansas legislature is next set to meet, but I would expect that as soon as it does, legislation covering (so to speak) this will swiftly sail through with wide bi-partisan support and be immediately signed into law by the Governor.

I see lots and lots of naked, ain't no big thang. However, private parts leak germy juicy things and that is pretty disgusting. See this important bit of scientific observation:

So, clearly, farts need filtering by some method.
Additionally, I would rather see nekid bits parading around than see/hear people hoarking up big phlem-balls and spitting them out. That ought to be illegal.

Jim--I'm not saying that the requirement of wearing some sort of clothing is unreasonable, just that I'm not all that bothered by public nudity. There are a lot of other things to get upset about before that.

I also found
this comment somewhat puzzling:
That's because it is actually somewhat legal to be nude, in public, in Kansas. Shawnee County Sheriff Herman Jones says the state statutes are pretty clear on this issue.
"Unless someone is exposing themselves or sexual organ to gratify or arouse someone other than themselves...it's really not anything against the law," said Jones.

Perhaps the sheriff just phrased that inartfully, but that would seem to indicate that the way this particular law is written, even walking around in public sporting an erection or masturbating wouldn't necessarily be illegal, so long as the nekkid person's
intent was only to arouse
themselves...

I'll pass on that BS, but I'm sure you've already booked your plane tickets...

Gives a new meaning to the word cockpit.

Maybe Shirley Phelps-Roper will start walking around naked on the streets of Topeka:

There is language like that in the model law, but usually, gratifying oneself also meets the elements of the offense, even if you are grossing out others in the process (oftentimes, they 'get off'
because of grossing other people out - it's like a mental sex assault, with associated trauma).
