Man hid cocaine inside prosthetic leg in his car, police say

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Police say a Delaware drug suspect went out on a limb to transport a stash of cocaine, but he was busted when officers discovered the drug hidden inside his prosthetic leg.

Dover Police say 39-year-old Marlow Holmes was arrested Monday afternoon during a traffic stop. They said police dogs alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car Holmes had been riding in. During a search of the car officers said they discovered more than 28 grams of cocaine stuffed into the prosthetic leg that Holmes was wearing, and arrested him.

Police say Holmes faces charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed, with bond set at $81,000.

Police say they kept the drugs as evidence but returned Holmes' leg.

My Jewish friend/coworker Ernie tells the most horrible Jewish jokes imaginable. The first one he told me which nearly caused me to go spastic was: What's the difference between a Jew and a pizza? A pizza doesn't scream when you put it in the oven. He does this all the time, and at work which makes me crazy, but he always says, "Hey, I can tell them because I am Jewish.

ah joe. sometimes something has to be shown the light of day to chase away the evil and darkness.

I made my daughter watch a documentary about ww2 a month or two ago. I made her sit still long enough to actually see what happened to the jews in concentration and labor camps. she saw the bodies stacked as cordwood and saw the german civilians being marched thru the camp and being made to bury the dead.

I often try to get her to watch history documentaries, sometimes she ends up enjoying them, other times she just doesn t see the importance and I let her go her own way.. in the case of the jews slaughter I insisted she sit and watch until she understood.

If someone repeated to you another person's "joke" about how a relative or close friend of yours died of cancer or was murdered, I assume you would sit back and reflect and/or rationalize that it served a purpose.

look, if some redneck was telling that joke in the bar a few years ago, and laughing about it, I would have called him out and likely punched his mouth if he hadn t enough sense to shut up. if a jewish fellow, who likely lost relatives tells it, who am i to judge?

I can forgive and forget someone for inadvertently hurting my feelings. I never was one for grudges and am even less prone to grudges now. (still a little pissed at scooter tho, if i m being honest)

I had horrible nightmares, for hours it seemed, last night about someone who tried to destroy my life a few years ago. it happens occasionally. when I awoke and calmed down. I prayed for help in the forgiveness department, and had a bit of an epiphany about the things he faced when he was sent back to Russia. likely straight to prison. I prayed for peace and love to come to him and for him to heal his own life.

life is too short for bitterness.

actually I was destroyed, mentally and physically. I never knew what a broken man really meant until then. i had gotten thru so much pain , self destruction and misery that i thought i was strong and tough enough to handle anything. i was wrong.

fortunately, my destruction opened the door to my rebirth, and here i am. my life is a loving one now and if i have a few years ,without bitterness and strife, left its ok.

,,,,and joe, I don t remember saying I wasn t offended, only that the joke serves a purpose, causing offense is one of those purposes. when such a joke no longer offends, we are destined to repeat the horror, so we need the occasional reality check.

I , myself, would not ever tell that joke.
