Oh come one, if a toddler said all that we would think it was cute.
Where can I order a vegetable tree?

No one will argue against the harmful effects of cannabis after hearing that.

Yes but, like, who else would dare to speak up on behalf of U.S. Americans who, uh, like don't have atlases and the Iran?

"On the East Coast they have slaves and they believe in slavery ... but on the West Coast, the new West Coast, we don't believe in that, we believe in the Union." --Testimony before the Santa Cruz City Council
Meade, you and Sickles have screwed up again! Apparently, the Late Unpleasantness was entirely misdirected.

The local mental health services are known statewide for their humane treatment of people who are mentally ill. I would like to think that is echoed in the behavior of the community as a whole, certainly this is an example of it but it would please me if it were more true overall.

So you think this person is mentally ill? Gosh, I just thought she was a typical Californian air-head of the female variety. You are so cruel!

Collective fear stimulates herd instinct, and tends to produce ferocity toward those who are not regarded as members of the herd.
Bertrand Russell
The broad instinctive mechanism upon which political edifices have to be built is one of cooperation within the herd and hostility towards other herds. The co-operation within the herd is never perfect. There are members who do not conform, who are, in the etymological sense, «egregious», that is to say, outside the flock. These members are those who have fallen below, or risen above, the ordinary level. They are: idiots, criminals, prophets, and discoverers. A wise herd will learn to tolerate the eccentricity of those who rise above the average, and to treat with a minimum of ferocity those who fall below it. Bertrand Russell
Mobs attack people because they are themselves cruel and weak and enjoy sharing that experience with others.

Nasty little pricks who attack people because they are well, nasty little pricks , reap what they sow.
