I think he's both intoxicated, (as he was last Saturday) and has recently been subjected to even more humiliation IRL than he usually gets, (it probably started shortly before his meltdown last weekend) so he's doubled down on viciousness around here to try and work off the frustration that he feels about it....

Because he's in no position to respond they way he wishes he could to whoever it is that's giving him his current wedgies IRL...

I don't know if it's something to do with Frau Rube, or some indignity he's suffering at his lab assistant job, but clearly somethin' ain't goin' right for the boy...

Once again I'm struck by how eerily "right on the money" some of these can be...I couldn't have written a more accurate description myself...
