I Just Had A Thought...

It was Strop's post about the wingnut with her handwritten lawsuit suing on behalf of God to stop homosexuality, that caused the light bulb to turn on...

My entrepreneurial instinct cranked in...

Instead of ridiculing whackos like that, (and the boomerang who shelled out $200 to register his "kill the gays" ballot initiative here in California...for which he has gotten beau-coup publicity...)

Why not cash in on the crazy?

Here's my business plan:

Step 1: Come up with a crazy idea that will appeal to a segment of the population that while small as a percentage, will translate into at least several million people in raw numbers...

I've come up with it:

Strip Obama Of His Citizenship And Send Him Back To Kenya...

Step 2: Set up a simple Word Press website to promote it (I just checked; "deportobamatokenya.com" is still available :ok )

And be sure to include a PayPal link to accept contributions...(Hey, stripping the Kenyan Muslim Socialist of his citizenship and having him deported ain't gonna be cheap...also set up an account to accept contributions on one of those websites where you can raise money for any "cause"...and also set up an account on a "petition" site...)

Step 3: Put social to media work...post on every single Obama hater blog and forum out there, (including a link back to my site of course) use twitter, youtube, instagram, tumblr, etc. (this step could be pretty labor intensive, so I'll probably farm it out to some fiverr.com types in Mumbai for about fifty bucks)

Step 4: All of that would be sure to bring in some cash, but this is the most important step to get the really serious coin....this where things really go viral...

Make sure the mainstream media knows what I'm doing, they'll raise my profile and give me publicity I could never buy:

Anderson Cooper: "Tonight on 360, a California based organization is attempting to have President Obama stripped of his citizenship and have him deported to Kenya"...

Lester Holt : "A California group has registered an initiative drive to have the President deported"...

With the way the mainstream news media eats up this kind of thing with wildly disproportionate coverage, (look at all the coverage the less than 100 member Westboro Baptist Church has gotten) this part of the plan is a dead cert... ;)

Step 5: Sit back and watch the money roll in... :ok :ok :ok

I figure that for about ten hours work tops, and a $250 investment ($200 to register my California Initiative, and fifty bucks for my Fiverr friends) I should be looking at a six figure return by the end of the first week, easy....

And the real beauty of this plan is that I can never be prosecuted on any sort of fraud charges because I'm not selling anything or making any specific promises of results...just accepting contributions to "fight the good fight"...

What's not to like? :ok

*AND* you get to deprive some of the wackaloons of some cash that might have gone to something that's actually harmful or dangerous! Cool! Go for it! :ok

P.S. You won't have to do much to get that money rolling in, but you should probably at least start an online petition...y'know, so you can get a bunch of names and email addresses for your future scamming financial security needs... ;)

Jim, I realize that you are lampooning, but would not Clinton be a more deserving candidate for this type of attention. After all, he actually did something deserving of impeachment. However, it has been over twenty years and the principle of statute of limitations should come into play.

Just a wild guess, but I suspect that you're not in the marketing business...

Are saying that interest in Clinton stock has gone down in recent years or that mericans have trouble remembering yesterday?

You people do realize that impeachment is for a sitting official. You cannot remove someone from an office they no longer hold.

And Jim, pretty sure there is intent to defraud, or at least confuse and mislead, in what you propose. I'd bet dollars to cop donuts that your scheme would run afoul of California consumer protection laws.

Sarah Palin has been getting away with it for the last 7 years.
