A 10-year-old girl's lemonade stand raised $US15,000 ($18,700) to help fund the reconstruction of her family's fire-damaged home in Tampa, Florida.
Two years ago a fire destroyed Alyssa De Le Sala's family home and then a dodgy contractor never completed building works he was paid for, ABC Action News reported.
To help her parents she set up a lemonade and baked goods stand outside the home and had a local radio station promote it.
The stand attracted so many people the local police department were called in to help direct traffic.
People paid up to $US1000 for a cup of lemonade.
"I'm speechless, overwhelmed," she said.
"We knew we had a good community but when you see this it's overwhelming," Alyssa's mother Jenn De La Sala told the news station.
The family have also set up a GoFundMe page which has so far raised US$2727.
The contractor Davis Ventures reportedly has $US600,000 worth of judgments against them.
