I just saw a clip on tv. the Azerbaijani womens swim team was walking down the stree,t after competing somewhere, and this huge luxury type bus hangs a U turn and, in an apparently purposeful maneuver, ran them down.

my god. I m physically ill. prayers prayed. damn it.

Yes, it happened in Azberbaijan, but it was Austrians that got hit by the bus:

The inaugural European Games in Azerbaijan, which won’t let reporters critical of the country and the event into the country to cover it, is off to an awful start.

Footage obtained by Azerbaijani opposition media channel Meydan TV shows a shuttle bus rounding a turn and running down three Austrian synchronized swimmers, one of whom suffered “severe injuries,” the BBC reports.

And also there's a strong indication that alcohol may have been involved:

According to information that came from reliable sources to Meydan TV from the village of athletes, alcohol is free in the village and divers and people working there were seen often drunk and even fighting each other.
