Rotherham all over again

Post by Gob »

Six men involved in a child sex ring in Buckinghamshire have been found guilty of abusing two schoolgirls on a "massive scale".

Image

The Old Bailey heard the abuse in Aylesbury went on for years and involved rape and child prostitution.
Eleven defendants faced trial, accused of 47 sexual offences between 2006 and 2012.
Four were cleared of any wrongdoing, while the jury could not reach a verdict on one of the men.
The six who have been convicted will be sentenced in September.

The offences, which all the defendants denied any involvement in, took place in cars, vans, flats and sometimes the girls' homes in Aylesbury, the court heard.

The ordeal came to an end last year after one of the girls spoke out to say she had been abused by dozens of Asian men
The jury deliberated for more than 42 hours before finding six men guilty of a range of offences against the girls, including rape, child prostitution and administering a substance to "stupefy" a girl in order to engage in sexual activity.
The court heard evidence from both victims, who came from troubled backgrounds and were befriended by the men who gave them alcohol, DVDs, food and occasionally drugs.
Charges and verdicts:
Vikram Singh, 45, of Cannock Road, Aylesbury, was found guilty of four counts of rape and one of administering a substance with intent
Asif Hussain, 33, of Hodge Lea, Milton Keynes, was convicted of three counts of rape
Arshad Jani, 33, of Cousins Drive, Aylesbury, was found guilty of rape and conspiracy to rape
Mohammed Imran, 38, of Springcliffe Street, Bradford, was convicted of three counts of rape, one count of conspiracy to rape and one count of child prostitution
Akbari Khan, 36, of Mandeville Road, Aylesbury, was found guilty of two counts of rape, one of administering a substance with intent and conspiracy to rape
Taimoor Khan, 29, of Highbridge Road, Aylesbury, was convicted of one count of sexual activity with a child
Sajad Ali, 34, of Brockhurst Road, Chesham, was found not guilty of sexual activity with a child
Sohail Qamar, 41, of St Anne's Road, Aylesbury, was cleared of two counts of rape, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Faisal Iqbal, 32, of Pixie Road, Aylesbury, was cleared of rape and sexual activity with a child
Harmohan Nangpal, 41, of Langdale Drive, Hayes, was cleared of one count of rape, and one count of sexual activity with a child
The jury could not decide on charges against Jerome Joe, 35, of Pightle Crescent, Buckingham. He denied one count of rape and a single count of sexual activity with a child.

Six of the 11 defendants on trial at the Old Bailey have been found guilty
When she was 12 or 13, one of the girls - known as A - was passed between 60 Asian men for sex and had been conditioned to think it was normal behaviour, the jury was told.
Prosecutor Oliver Saxby QC said the victims were "easy prey for a group of men wanting casual sexual gratification that was easy, regular and readily available".
The girls started to believe the men, some of whom were married with children, were their boyfriends.

One of the victims spent a lot of her time around Aylesbury Market where she was spotted by her first abuser, Vikram Singh
Mr Saxby said the scale of the abuse was "horrifying".
"[Girl] A estimated that she had sex with about 60 men - six zero - almost all Asian," he told the court.
Girl A told police she was passed around the group of men.
"It wasn't particularly me looking for them. It was them looking for me," she said.
"It's just that they pass your number around... or you're with one of them and they invited three or four of their friends round and then you have to sleep with them."

The men, some using the services of Hindi, Urdu, Pashto and Punjabi interpreters, gave no reaction as the guilty verdicts were delivered.
David Johnston, director for children's services at Buckinghamshire County Council, said: "We are as appalled, as all parents and the community of Buckinghamshire will be, by the despicable acts of cruel abuse committed by those found guilty at the Old Bailey today.

"On behalf of the council, I would also like to apologise to both of them for letting them down during this period in their lives.
"We know a great deal more about child sexual exploitation than we did back then and I hope that young people who are worried about themselves or someone they know will have the same courage to come forward. We will do everything in our power to help them."

Barnardo's chief executive Javed Khan said the case sent out an important message that perpetrators of "this horrific crime" had to pay for their actions.
"The bravery of the victims giving evidence in this case should be commended," he said.
"The courage it takes to relive your abuse in a courtroom environment cannot be underestimated."
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

and again...

Eleven men have been convicted of sex offences against an underage girl in West Yorkshire.

The group, all from Bradford and Keighley, had denied assaulting the teenager between 2011 and 2012.

The jury heard the girl, aged 13 and 14 at the time, had been exploited and used for sex in various locations including an underground car park.

Three others were acquitted following a five-week trial at Bradford Crown Court.

The girl was described in court as leading a "chaotic existence" at the time and had been reported missing from home on more than 70 occasions over a two-year period.

The jury heard her meetings with the men had been arranged by "drug dealer" Arif Choudhury, who was not on trial.

The men had all denied the charges which related to the same girl apart from one charge of rape:
Yasser Kabir, 25, of Belgrave Road, Keighley was convicted of three counts of rape
Tauqeer Hussain, 23, of Belgrave Road, Keighley, was also convicted of three counts of rape, one of which related to a second victim
Sufyan Zirab, 22, of Kendal Mellor Court, Keighley, and Bilal Ziarab, 21, of Sedgwick Close, Manningham, Bradford, were found guilty on two rape charges
Israr Ali, 19, of Devonshire Street West; Nazir Khan, 23, of Buxton Street and Zain Ali, 20, of Buxton Street, all Keighley, were found guilty of one count of rape
Faisal Khan, 27, of Buxton Street, Lawkholme; Hussain Sardar, 19, of Bradford Street, Lawkholme and Saqib Younis, 29, of Bradford Street, Lawkholme, all Keighley, were also convicted of one charge of rape.
Mohammed Akram, 63, of Holker Street, Keighley, was found guilty of sexual activity with a child under 16.
A 12th man, Khalid Raja Mahmood, 34, of no fixed address, had earlier pleaded guilty to five charges of rape.
The group was remanded in custody and will be sentenced in February.

Speaking after the verdicts, Det Ch Insp Chris Walker, from West Yorkshire Police, paid tribute to the victim who had "shown great courage" in speaking up.

He added: "This has been a very challenging, complex and sensitive investigation.

"Child sexual exploitation is one of the most important challenges facing the police.

"It is totally unacceptable and it is the responsibility of all agencies, communities and individuals to identify those responsible and help bring them to justice."
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

Should we expect sentences ranging from six to eighteen months?

It does - and the Bible tells us that's so!

Eleven were jailed at Bradford Crown Court after being convicted of raping the girl in Keighley from the age of 13.

Another man was sentenced for sexual activity with the same girl.

The trial heard how the teenager was repeatedly attacked over a period of 13 months, between 2011 and 2012.

She was made to have sex in various locations in the town, including an underground car park and a church graveyard.

The girl was described in court as leading a "chaotic existence" at the time and had been reported missing from home on more than 70 occasions over a two-year period.

Two of the men also received sentences for offences against other victims.

Judge Roger Thomas QC, sentencing, told the men: "She was only 13 or 14 when the 12 of you took such terrible and heartless sexual advantage of her."

The jury previously heard her meetings with the men had been arranged by "drug dealer" Arif Choudhury, who was not on trial.
Khalid Raja Mahmood, 34, of no fixed address, was given a 17-year extended sentence for rape and sexual activity with a child
Tauqeer Hussain, 23, of Belgrave Road, Keighley, was jailed for 18 years for rape
Yasser Kabir, 25, also of Belgrave Road, was jailed for 20 years for rape, sexual assault and causing a child to engage in sexual activity
Sufyan Ziarab, 23, of Kendall Mellor Court, Keighley, was sentenced to 15 years for rape
Bilal Ziarab, 21, of Sedgwick Close, Bradford, was jailed for 12 years for rape
Israr Ali, 19, of Devonshire Street West, Keighley, was sentenced to three-and-half years in a young offenders' institution for rape
Nasir Khan, 24, of Buxton Street, Keighley, was jailed for 13 years for rape
Zain Ali, 20, also of Buxton Street, Keighley, was sentenced to eight years in a young offenders' institution for rape
Faisal Khan, 27, also of Buxton Street, Keighley was jailed for 13 years for rape
Saqib Younis, 29, of Bradford Street, Keighley, was also jailed for 13 years for rape
Hussain Sardar, 19, also of Bradford Street, Keighley, was sentenced to six years in a young offenders' institution for rape
Mohammed Akram, 63, of Holker Street, Keighley, was jailed for five years for sexual activity with a child
Tauqeer Hussain was also found guilty of raping a second girl in 2009.
The court heard Mahmood, who pleaded guilty to several charges at an earlier hearing, is currently serving an eight-year jail sentence for raping a woman in a park in Keighley and trying to abduct a 10-year-old girl.

Kabir, who received the greatest jail term of 20 years, was also sentenced for 12 sexual offences against two other young girls after being found guilty at a separate trial.

Kris Hopkins, Conservative MP for Keighley and Ilkley, said: "Keighley's proud name has been dragged through the mud too many times in recent years because of the heinous acts of sick men preying on vulnerable young girls.

"I appeal directly to members of the local community that if you know of any individual or groups of individuals who may be involved in these activities, you have an obligation to pass this information on.

"We must work together to rid ourselves of this cancer and we all have a part to play."

The sentences are absurdly light; anyone who raped this child should be looking at a minimum of 25 to life...

My question is how was this permitted to go on for so long...Where were the parents?

I think I'm seeing a pattern...
Girls as young as 12 were repeatedly raped, sexually abused and trafficked for sex, a court has heard.

A number of the alleged offences against the seven victims happened in Bristol in 2011 and 2012.

Seven men have gone on trial at Bristol Crown Court, accused of a total of 46 offences, including rape, sexual assault, rape of child under 13 and false imprisonment.

All the accused deny the charges.

The jury was told some of the victims were allegedly given drugs and alcohol, and that the girls travelled by train to meet the men.

On one occasion in March 2013, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly simultaneously raped by two men at a flat in Bristol.

The jury also heard a 12-year-old girl was raped, leaving her feeling "dirty" and "regretful".

The court heard that one girl kept a diary of her trips to the city, in which she wrote coded messages about sex and sex acts she had carried out.

One teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told the court she felt "pressurised" into having sex with six of the men and that she believed it was "expected" of her.

The trial, which began earlier this month but can only now be reported after reporting restrictions were lifted by the judge, was adjourned until Thursday.
The defendants are:
Sakariya Sheikh, 23, known as "Zak"
Abdirahman Galal, 26, known as "Ramsey"
Mohammed Osman, 29, known as "I-Man"
Mohammed Dahir, 24, known as "Kamal"
Nuridin Mohamoud, 22, known as "Ahmed"
Abdirashid Abdulahi, 23, known as "Abs" or "Older Abs"
Nasir Mahamoud, 23, known as "Ace"
But it would be "racist" to acknowledge it.

Five men have been convicted of sexually abusing and trafficking six teenage girls in Coventry.

Waqaar Khan, Kadeem Bourne, Kenan Kelly, Marcus Woolcock and Zahid Chaudhary were accused of almost 40 offences, Warwick Crown Court heard.

Ringleader Khan befriended the girls, aged 15 to 17, on social media before picking them up and forcing them to have sex, sometimes filming it.

West Midlands Police described them as "brazen, calculating and evil".

The court heard the men took the girls, some of whom were in care, to secluded areas of the city and sometimes gave them alcohol or drugs before abusing and trafficking them for sex.

I just now read this thread for the first time. Read it all. On part puzzled me:

"Who knew Sikhs, Hindus and Muslims could be just as evil as Catholics!"

Where is the religion revealed? Is the name a reliable indicator? Is the Kelly listed assumed to be Catholic? Course, I would add Rastafarians, Pastafarians and Rotarians to the list.

In Italy it would be a list of Romanian or Bulgarian names.
In Vancouver it would be a list of Chinese names.
In New York it would be Russians.
In Miami it would be Hispanics.
In Montreal it would be Haitians.

In whatever country where there are girls and young women desperately trying to escape to a better life, they are vulnerable to monsters ready to ensnare them into a life of sexual slavery in whichever country they are able to land. In the UK, girls vulnerable to exploitation and the men who would exploit them predicably follow this pattern.

Human trafficking isn't free... you have to pay for the "product." For the right amount of money you're guaranteed to find the hook up of your dreams.
