I don;t usually say much about what's going on with me personally but I decided to hold a small pity party in my honor. I am going under the knife for a bit of surgery this morning. Just showered and getting ready to go. Later when fate says so.

Do NOT miss this opportunity. And do NOT let them fob you off with useless garbage like any member of the codeine family! (morphine isn't worth much either, high 1st pass metabolism and lots of side effects and not all that effective on pain anyway.)

Thanks to the well wishers. I am already back on my feet and I took what I plan to be my last dose of serious pain meds last night. They appear to have fixed the problem, a quick in and out with a snip here and there, exploratory with a laproscope done. Belly is very sore but not unbearable. I have to wear a binder for a week which is very itchy.

Rubato, you have to realize that as alike as people are genetically our reactions to medications are quite variable. I for one adore MSO4. I got a boatload of it yesterday. I always have very graphic and detailed dreams while on it. My pain control was excellent. It is easy to see why some become addicted. I have a whole bottle of vicodin, not my personal favorite, but I don't believe I will need it. Some OTC naproxen sodium will do.

ugh. Yes, I know people who do well on codiene. I have heard that some people like beets too, but I still hold out hope that better education will reduce their numbers.
