It is currently 69F here. I went to the store in short sleeves. This is not normal.
It's crazy.

62 and sunny by the sea. I finished my fall clean-up in flip flops and a t-shirt and had windows open all over the house.
Can we just skip Jan/Feb/March and go right to April. The weather seems to agree with me!

We broke records all week with highs in the upper 60s and even low 70s one day. Today it topped out at 54º so far, but it's expected to be 60º by midnight, sliding into tomorrow with a high in the upper 40s and a 100% chance of rain in the morning. December is arriving two weeks late.

Epic: of unusually great size or extent
The rain has been epic this week. That is saying something in a place used to a lot of rain. The rain is breaking records (we got the record!), swelling rivers, creating sinkholes, causing trees to fall, etc. If this is an indicator of the El Nino coming to the dry, nonabsorbent California landscape, it will be quite a winter.

43 high, 28 low here today.
Not unusual in my short time here, but dramatically warmer/drier winters than the past several decades.

Longitude 43.8 N (La Crosse, WI) — it is currently 43º F (6.1º C) and we are presently experiencing thunderstorms. Twenty or thirty years ago this would have been a full-scale early-winter blizzard.

Oh, bloody hell...
Just
one year ago at this time, you North Easterners and Mid Westerners were crying like little school girls about how
cold and
full of snow it was...
And
now you're whining because you're getting a little nice weather?
There's no pleasing you people...

BITE ME. It's not freaking Christmas-y. Have you no idea how exceptionally weird it was to go looking at Christmas lights last night with the TOP DOWN?
I must admit it was quite spectacular.

It's not Christmas-y at all. That part is weird and uncomfortable.

yes, holly and randa, gave a running commentary on the Christmas lights as we came home from my son b day party last night.
it was a 15 mile trip thru rural farmland mostly, and it was quite entertaining
"classic" and "tasteful" were the most popular with my gals....
...the numerous santas on tractors were not a hit.....
my part was to come up with humorous lyrics to "grandma got run over by a reindeer"
"grandma got run over by a John Deere, she got plowed under with the peas...."

We expect rain sometime soon. It has been so dry they are recommending that one not purchase a live tree because it might bring about a spider Armageddon in the home.

Yeah, that would be the rainstorm that created another 10 foot snow pack in the High Sierras, before it "piddled" on "Middle America"...
You can just say "thank you"...
