WASHINGTON (AP) -- Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was held by the Taliban for five years and freed in exchange for five detainees in Guantanamo Bay, will face charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy in a general court-martial, instead of a misdemeanor-level forum, the Army announced Monday.
A date for an arraignment hearing at Fort Bragg, N.C., will be announced later... The U.S. Army Forces Command charged the 29-year-old Bergdahl on March 25 with "desertion with intent to shirk important or hazardous duty" and "misbehavior before the enemy by endangering the safety of a command, unit or place."
Hasn't he suffered enough? Poor bastard had to listen to Obama waffle on about how brave he was...

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
I say it's better for prisoner Birddog to be on American soil and rot for five years in Fort Leavenworth rather than being publicly beheaded by the Taliban. Once released, let's see how he functions in society as the pariah he is. That will equate to a life sentence of misery, I'm sure.
And may God have mercy on his soul.
