Final Vote for Plan B Person of the Year Award for 2015

Post by Joe Guy »

Here are the voting rules for voters for the Finalists in the Plan B Person of the Year Award 2015 Election process:

You get one vote
You are not allowed to change your vote, so think before you click
No write-ins
Comments on why or why not any candidate should be chosen are encouraged
Based on my adoption of some of the republican debating rules, silly arguments and name-calling will be applauded

If there is a tie between two or more candidates, I will be suspicious of the voting public and be forced to make a difficult decision.

The poll will run for 4 days to allow any weekend-only posters an opportunity to vote.

I still cast my vote for rubato, he adds a certain panache to the BBS. :ok

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

I think the "one vote one time" rule makes good sense, as it will reduce the likelihood of ties, (the multiple votes and the ability to change your votes is all good fun for the first round, but now we're down to serious business... 8-))

However if two or more should still tie, here's my suggestion for how to break the tie and award placement:

Joe:

Select a number between one and 100, and PM it to a third party of unimpeachable fairness (personally I would recommend Kristina; think of this person as our "Price Waterhouse")

Then whoever is tied for first place posts a number between 1-100 (it will be impossible to pick the same number, since whoever posts second will see the first number posted)

Then the third party person posts the number you PM'd them, and whoever is closest to that number get's first place, and the next closest gets second place, (and third and fourth if necessary)

It may look complicated, but it's actually a pretty simple process.

Personally I wonder why Kristina is never in these awards. She is a quiet, warm presence that certainly deserves more recognition than others know for persistent histrionics among other things.

Guin has been an online friend for several years. I view her posts and opinions as valid and unimpeachable. My vote is a small way of saying thanks.

If I cannot vote for rubato, I'm not voting at all.

Here you go, wes ... proof that unicorns are real.

I'd be happy to help, but I'm not on-line much over the weekends (insert long confusing explanation of limited internet access out in the sticks where I now reside...).

Yet another example of the majority trampling the minority voice! But as Sue said, where's the sport in not changing one's mind? I change mine more often than I change my.... oh, never mind. I stand ready to place the tiara on whatever head is presented

So you change your mind twice a week as opposed to once a week?
