The video speaks for itself. Although I had to fight the urge to make snarky comments... (Life long Packers Fan) :ok

We do. Actually, I made a lateral move from Wisconsin. So no big difference climate wise. ;)

Wow, that could have been a real disaster, a tragedy even, just think of the loss...

If it had been a cricket pitch!

Which is why, if you're gonna presume to play football in winter in northern climates, a flexible roof is not gonna cut it. Unfortunately, a stadium with rigid retractable roof like the Rogers Centre in Toronto is probably gonna run over a billion dollars these days.

What Scooter just said.

Did the designers not know that it snows in Minnesota in the winter? And that snow stays where it falls until either (a) you move it or (b) it melts? And that snow weighs more than air?

Cool video, though. (No pun intended.)

Minnesota has to forfeit because of 'stadium failure'? No way! These are FOOTBALL fans! they'd dig their way out and expect the Vikings to win it!

Your average cricket fan must be ... a little frail and delicate ...

It seemed to work just fine for over 25 years (opened in 1982). Also, I recall inflatable domes in other northern cities (notably, Syracuse).

Of course, this would be a non-issue if the Vikings played real football instead of arena football. Football should not be played in a dome under any circumstances except an underwater habitat.

It had previously deflated/collapsed (not as catastrophically) 4 times. It gets torn by snow buildup and needs to be repaired.

Hey, you'll get no argument from me about that. While I don't like the looks of the remodel they did on Soldier Field a few years ago (from the outside, it looks like a large UFO landed on top of an historic old stadium) at least we didn't put a friggin dome over it.
