Police officers pop the question during London Pride parade
There's no better place to get engaged than a Pride parade — the festivities are already built in.
Such were the philosophies of two Metropolitan police officers, who each proposed to their partners (one of whom is a fellow police officer) during this week's London Pride celebration.
One of them even halted a parade to pop the question. Talk about a grand gesture.
Since the Metropolitan LGBT Network (a staff association for LGBT police officers) posted the photos on Saturday, congratulatory tweets have been plentiful. Some people even thanked the officers for providing a slice of positive news as the UK reels from its controversial 'Brexit' vote.

I have no problem with the LGBT(QQIP2SAA) community nor any of the gender bending phenomena associated with it. We all need someone to lean on. However, I find this excessive, in-your-face, PDA a bit too much, regardless of sexual orientation.
I have much tolerance -- on all levels for all people -- but these visual cues are becoming a parody unto themselves. Love is love, is love, is love, is love, is love... I get it. But there's a time and place for everything -- even if it's a gay pride parade.

It didnt hurt my feelings in the least , remember the song" Listen what the man says"? or something like that ,havent heard it in ages . God can fight has own battles,a myraid of galaxies and He is worried about sexual orientation ?

We worry and complain about mass shootings all over the world, ISIS plotting to destroy the US, floods and fires killing people, black on black crime and police shooting black people, - then we get equally upset when a police officer in London declares his love for another person in public.
What's up with that?
Pardon me... two men are walking down my street holding hands. I need to go outside and call them faggots and then I'll call the cops to report an indecent public display. I hope they don't send some gay cop over here....

Who is this "we" who is equally upset about mass shootings etc and a police officer declaring his love for another person in public? I don't think anyone should be called pejorative names, as you suggest. Not did I refer to anything as "indecent public display". I find it sad. I also don't care if a cop responding to a call is heterosexual or homosexual - as long as he or she is a good cop.
Really - sometimes you people think you are the only ones permitted to hold opinions and those who differ from you should be suppressed. Not surprising, really.

I, too, want to know who this "we" is? I merely have my own opinion on PDA whether gay or straight. Period.

Who you calling "you people"?
"We" refers to groups of people. People who show outrage for things that they see (mostly on tv). There are people who are as outraged and
dismayed at the existence of gay people as they are about real threats to our society.
Also, there are people who become dismayed when they hear the word "we" attached to a statement because they think "we" includes them and they don't want to be associated with "those people".

I was thinking about this on the drive home today. I am not "dismayed" in the sense of being angry or horrified or anything like that. Is it not fair to recognise that according my belief in the teachings of the Bible, unrepentant sinners can never be reconciled to God. They must repent and stop sinning. No one manages to stop sinning 100% - that only happens when perfection comes after death. But the Christian, as I read it, no longer rejoices in sin.
So for these lads, and all the others, I feel regret and sorrow, for their chances of salvation, while not utterly gone, are so much reduced. So "dismay" is certainly accurate - outrage is not.
Those who don't believe of course have a different view.
