My DNA results are in; I had almost forgotten this. Last night just as I was shutting my computer it occurred to me to check my Email I did and there it was; I don’t know how long it had been waiting. This came about because my wife expressed doubts about me having Mexican ancestors.
She couldn’t see how two brown eyed people could have a blue eyed child; both my mother and my father had and have brown eyes. I tried to explain to my wife that it didn’t work that way. My grandfather on my mothers side had blue eyes and my Mexican father was half Mexican and we have no idea what DNA I inherited on the white side. My results are heavy for Iberian peninsula ( Spanish ) and native American ( Indian) the two ancestries that make up the majority of Mexicans. What do you think?

Are you implying I should be ashamed of my African ancestry ( They mean Negroid, black )? IT is just a fact, why should I be ashamed of that. Being a southerner I am surprised it is not 4 %. Most likely the only reason it is not 4% is that my Mexican father had zero percent black ancestry.

Can anyone explain what those percentages mean?

I don't think the major grouping, versus sub-groups are very well split out. They did add up to 100%, so the math works out.

I am 100% me.

I have 1% North African according to the test a sibling took.
