A teenage Afghan refugee armed with an axe and knife injured four people on a train in southern Germany before being shot dead by police, officials say.
Three people in a group from Hong Kong were seriously hurt and one slightly injured in the attack in Wurzburg. Another 14 were treated for shock.
Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said the attacker was killed as he tried to flee the scene.

A teenager with German-Iranian citizenship has shot and killed nine people and wounded more than 15 at a shopping centre in Munich, in the third attack on civilians in Europe in eight days.
The 18-year-old man, who police believe acted alone, is understood to have lived in Munich for up to two years. He reportedly shouted “I am German” during the prolonged attack on Friday evening, at the end of which he killed himself.
Germany’s third largest city was forced into lockdown after the gunman opened fire on diners in a McDonald’s restaurant before moving to a nearby shopping mall.

An explosion in the German city of Ansbach, near Nuremberg, has killed a suspected bomber and injured 12 other people, three seriously, police say.
They said a man - "according to our current knowledge the perpetrator" - had died in the blast.
The intended target was not clear but about 2,000 people have been evacuated from a nearby open-air music festival, the Bavarian interior ministry said.

A machete attack by a Syrian asylum-seeker has left one woman dead and two other people injured in Reutlingen, near Stuttgart.
Police said the attack happened after an argument developed between the man and the 45-year-old Polish woman.
Police said there was no indication that it was terrorist attack and it was more likely to have been "a crime of passion".
