Wow!! Great video!! :ok

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Staggeringly beautiful. I can recall perfectly the first time I saw an osprey in person take a fish off the top of a lake. We were drifting, lying back in a rowboat on Loch Lomund after a picnic lunch and a thermos of gin an tonics. I was teasing my then-girlfriend about the identity of a hawk circling at about the height of the redwoods. She was a much better birder than I was and said it was an Osprey, which i immediately denied, and then it fell from the sky and swiped a trout off the surface of the water making my day complete.

Hummingbirds and osprey both make me wonder about the limits of the possible and just stand in awe.

Ps I think there are a number of Eagles who catch fish the same way.

Osprey (one of my fave birds) fish the tidal pond across from my house. I've watched them hunt and fly off with their prey many times when out for walks. Never been able to catch them with a still camera, and I never think of video, but maybe I will try next time I see one.

I haven't seen them go completely under, either. Wow.

Now if we could get airplanes to perform like that, that one fish had to be a significent amount of the birds weight .
