Next time, let her drown

A young woman holidaying in Cornwall was rescued by the same lifeboat crew three times in four days after being cut off by the tide.

She was saved by the RNLI on Tuesday, Thursday and again on Friday.

In each case, she had been cut off by the tide while out walking and the D-class inshore lifeboat crews had to go into the water to rescue her.

She has since been given a "comprehensive safety briefing", the RNLI said.

It said sea and weather conditions last week meant none of the rescues had been particularly easy.

"The spring tides can catch people out, especially holidaymakers, who are unaware of the tidal cycles and speed that the tide can come in," said Brian Bowdler, helm of Looe lifeboat.

Despite her triple rescue ordeal, the woman was unhurt and said to be "fine".
On the same day;
Six separate sea deaths have prompted a plea from the RNLI to the public to have respect for the power of nature.
The deaths, in Cornwall, Essex, Dorset, Jersey and Aberdeenshire were directly linked to stormy conditions around coastal areas.
The RNLI described the sea as "dangerously unpredictable".

I can see how it happened: Jehovah was going around creating the world and the continents and islands and got to the UK and discovered to his shock that they had used up all the poisonous snakes in Australia, Africa and India, the poisonous octopi, stonefish, spiders, lizards &c carelessly and frivolously and had nothing left to keep the locals on their toes and grateful that they aren't dead yet and said "well bless me what are we going to do now? Killer tides! I'll make something as innocent and soft as seawater deadly by having tides rush in so fast no one can get out of the way!". And that is how it has been ever since.

Two more bodies have been found on the beach at Camber Sands, hours after three men were pulled from the water on the hottest day of the year.

A member of the public found the two bodies as the tide receded at about 20:00 BST on Wednesday, the RNLI said.

A search is under way for a third person missing at the East Sussex beach. Lifeboats and a helicopter are combing the water off the coast.

Seven other people have died around the British coastline since Friday.

And your god is such a total idiot about science.

Locally we have black widow spiders which make you hurt but are rarely lethal, northern pacific rattlesnakes which are quite small and non-aggressive compared to the Mojave green or western diamondbacks of my youth. Very cute, I saw one laying wait underneath a cattle guard one time. A few infectious diseases like Valley Fever. You god either does not exist or he loves athiests, liberals and homosexuals more than he loves Christian religious fanatics.

But having been across country the locals of coastal California are far less morbidly obese than anywhere else, we have a great outdoor culture of swimming, surfing, running , cycling and other sports and people eat a lot better foods. Ohio is full of total blobbos. (inland California is both more Republican and more grossly obese than the coast)

Yeah, turn a small remark about how CA will be inundated by the ocean one day (on topic) into some blathering about obesity (off topic). Obvious connection there.

The Two Minutes Hate is said to satisfy rubato's subdued feelings of angst and hatred from leading such a wretched, controlled existence.
