Final Vote for Plan B Person of the Year for 2016

Person of the Year 2016
As you are all aware and even if you're not, the primary voting for The Plan B Person of the Year 2016 has concluded. The final voting can now begin.

In order to continue to display full transparency of the process involved in choosing nominees for final voting in The Plan B Person of the Year 2016 competition, I shall reveal the results of your vote casting efforts and explain the outcome:

As I stated in the opening post of this thread, and I quote myself, "The five candidates with the highest amount of votes will be placed in a poll for a final vote".

Given the fact that there are 5 candidates who received 3 votes and two candidates that received more than 3, there are actually 7 candidates that shall qualify. (btw – there was an error in Daisy's vote count, so she received 3, not 4 votes)

The definition of “The five candidates” in the context of my above quote is the five people who receive the most votes or any number of candidates who share an equal amount of votes with others, all of whom would have qualified had the others not obtained an equal number of votes as long as the total amount of candidates would not exceed ten.

The result of the total vote count for the primary is:

Lord Jim - 5
wesw - 5
Daisy - 3
Gob - 3
Crackpot - 3
rubato - 3
Joe Guy - 3
Reality Bytes - 2
Kristina - 1
oldr_n_wsr - 1
Scooter - 1
Guin - 1

All comments and/or challenges to my ruling shall be given consideration and rejected if they conflict with my reasoning.

The poll shall run for 5 days beginning today. Only one vote is allowed and you will not have the ability to change it. Candidates and voters are encouraged to write things and stuff like that.

As a highly unpopular presidential candidate once said after losing the primary,

"Shit! I lost!"

He later said publicly, “Vote your conscience.”

1. I declined all nominations. Please remove my name from consideration.

2. The Admins was a legitimate nomination that I do not see listed.

Given your ongoing refusal to consider the wishes of a person of Plan B, I refuse to participate further and I'm boycotting this travesty of a contest.

I think this is too long for a final list...

Ties are almost inevitable, and the "winner" could easily win with 3 votes...

And after we vote, then it will go to the Electoral College where the second-place finisher will be declared the winner.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Thank you, wesw. Plan B has been too weak since the Plan B recognition of Big RR and Guinevere. Anyone who feels like it can post here without fear of being banned. Women are easily offended and men have been forced to be "Politically Correct" for fear of being criticized and ridiculed by the Millennial-type sissy thinking that has permeated this BBS.

If I am chosen, on my first day as Plan B Person of the Year for 2016 I will see to it that offensive people are banned and that people who are offended are also banned. I am not "Politically Correct" and I despise people who say things that offend others and disgusted by people who are always offended. You will also start reading things like, "Jesus is my savior" and "I've been to confession and it's time to go and take Holy Communion" and it will no longer be followed by, "Of course your religion is good too" or "of course, I respect your beliefs even if they aren't the same as mine".

We're going to take Plan B back!

Yes, Plan B will become great again. We will be the strongest BBS in cyberspace. You are going to be proud to be here, I can tell you that. It will be amazing...

It has come to my attention that there are unsubstantiated and uncorroborated reports (but they're on the internet so they must be true) that Plan B Person Of the Year candidate Joe Guy is being controlled through blackmail by elements hostile to the well being of Plan B...

It's alleged, (I have to say "alleged" though we know it's probably true) that Joe Guy's handler as an agent of influence is a Vermont-based electrician identified in the documents by the initials "CS"....

The dossier was researched and assembled by a high-ranking IRS official who reports directly to the Treasury Secretary, so the charges have a very high degree of credibility...

I won't post any of the actual facts accusations that the blackmail material contains because they're just too salacious (not to mention gross and downright icky...some of them involve a cat....) but I invite you to use your imagination as to what they might be. (And then assume that they're worse than you imagined.)

I regret having to post these revelations, but I felt it was vital that the membership have this information before they vote.

ETA:

Also, I can not find anywhere on the internet where FBI Director James Comey denies that this is being investigated, so the FBI must be investigating it.

I guaranteed your illegitimacy by supporting you.

even if you win there will be doubts..., serious doubts....

your ejaculations of expected victory were premature, as I expected they would be.

your prospect of victory is rapidly shrinking.

the lifeblood of your campaign is slowly leaking away after your initial spurt of exuberance.

now withdraw before you disappoint further with your feeble attempts.

you can t row a boat with a rope. plan b needs a strong hand at the helm.

no stamina. sad.

Lord Jim's accusations are a pile of garbage. A pussy
is not necessarily a cat. False news. All of it.

And you can't push on a rope. An insight which has been had by many towing things, like boats, which possess significant inertial mass and needed to stop for some reason. A similarly pungent learning experience was had by people leading large animals of volatile temperament like tigers, apes, and bulls. The level of control which can be exerted is seriously flawed by this fact.

All who have had these experiences have said that "if only you could push as well as pull on a rope it would be a better thing the world would be a better and finer place".

So to the great corollaries of life I would add "you can't teach a Republican to care about facts any more than you can push on a rope".

99% may not be "all" in the narrowest sense, but it is close enough for the generalization to be true.

Many people are saying that Joe and wes are the same person... (I'm not saying it; but many people are)

Personally I don't know if it's true...(probably it is, but who knows? Maybe, who can say? It is suspicious that there's no proof that it isn't true...)

If it is true, people should probably think long and hard about whether they want to vote for a sock puppet or somebody unscrupulous enough to use a sock puppet.

That's of course only if it's true, as many people are saying that it is...
