19/34 and most were guesses. I either knew it cold or had no idea at all.

21/34 with a bunch of guesses. I think I got all, or almost all, of the real history questions right, but there were quite a few that I would classify as more like "historical trivia".
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

I think I got it right, (it's tough to know which guesses were right and which were wrong since it doesn't give you a breakdown of your answers) but I would definitely dispute the "air force" question, since we didn't have an "Air Force" at all during WW I...

It was called The Army Air Corps...

It gives your score and each question with your answer and the correct answer. So for the question you are referencing above, the correct answer is 0. The USAir Force wasn't constituted until 1947. WWI and WW2 pilots were either Army, Navy, or Marines.

I got 26/34, and agree with Econo that it tests trivia as much as history.

I got that one right...

I missed that, but I still had the tab open and found it by scrolling back up from where the score is totaled...

I went through it only to get to the end where they wanted me to give them my email address so they could "add me to their newsletter list" ..... otherwise known as "spamming the shit out of me".  Thanks, but no thanks.

Now, if I had known wesw's email addy, that might have been a different story.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

I often wonder how much spam abc@xyz.com gets.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

A lot of sites are getting smarter and will report back that the address you gave is not an active email account and refuse to accept it.

For a while I have had a gmail account for the spam (which I never check) and I use that one.

I don't consider myself a history buff. Just someone who remembers a lot of trivia.
I was very good at trivial pursuit as long as it wasn't the literature category. While I read alot, I don't remember authors names.

Same with movies, I don't even pay attention to the actors names nor directors, forget about producers and production/studio. One thing I do watch out for is the "key grip' as an old high school buddy was one for a long time. He even got a bit part in the Shawshank Redemption. He played the prisoner handing out the mail.

I got tons of a semiuseless $#!t in my head.
Of course I can't recall what I had for dinner last night.
