The link text to the quiz on the CNN site says "Only 1 in 50 people can pass this US history quiz"...

If that's true (and assuming they're talking about "American people") that is profoundly depressing...

I didn't know George Washington's salary or how many acres were in the Louisiana Purchase. A couple of others were pure guesses, and a couple of others only by process of elimination.

I knew Washington's salary, the number of acres in the Louisiana Purchase was one of my correct guesses...

I guessed wrong on the Dutch Gilders question...

This exactly, except I knew the salary, but missed the acreage and the WW1 message question.

But thanks to The West Wing, I did know which president got a big wheel of cheese.

29/30--missed the salary one--a few lucky guesses as well.

I'm embarrassed to admit I only got 23 right. (And a couple were instances where I said "D'OH! I knew that!!!" immediately after seeing the correct answer.... )
