They could have cut the fins off. Or is leaving the fins part of the preparation? Does cutting them off expose the diner to the poison?

It WAS funny - but sad, too. I prefer to think of Mr. Pufferfish and his bride living happily ever after - once all the little Pufferfish children leave home, that is.
