We Are Sikhs...

and we're so sick and tired of getting beat up every time some ignorant racist yahoo mistakes us for a Muslim, we decided to make a commercial to tell you who we are:
They have a serious public relations problem--'proper' enunciation of this group identification sounds like 'sick' to most American English speakers. Otherwise, they have lots of positive data points going for them. The linked promo carefully sounds like 'seek' but the rebuttal, arguing that Sikh values ARE NOT American values does sound, to me, more like 'sick'.
I think I could make a pretty extensive argument, echoing the rebuttal from the Sikh organization, that Christian values are not American values.
