There should be an app for that. People shouldn't have to look where they're walking. It's a violation of their pedestrian rights and it's discriminatory.

The ones who really get me mad are mothers pushing babies in a stroller across a busy street while intensely focused on their electronic device and oblivious to the traffic around them.

Then there are some that aren't using cell phones but use their strollers like a warning device when crossing a street. They should be arrested for unsafe stroller operation.

I work as a customer service rep for a major cellular service provider, and if you were to give me a dollar for the number of people who have called me about their issues with their bill, their account, or the cellphone itself while they were driving, I could have retired three years ago.  Now give me another dollar for each person who wants me to troubleshoot their cellphone while they are calling me from it — which is a task comparable to replacing a piston in a car while the motor is still running — and I could have retired FIVE years ago.....

It's shit like this that almost makes me regret the fact that I am a CSR and do what I do, because in a small way I am contributing to the madness.

I think it was Jeff Bezos who said you have not had enuff coffee until you can thread a sewing machine while it is running.
