In keeping with the highly anticipated annual tradition of recognizing the most recognized person here at Plan B, The Plan B Person of the Year committee has once again formed and, in spite of popular demand, has decided to open the nomination process for The Plan B Person of the Year 2017.

The The Plan B Person of the Year committee is comprised of me. I am the sole director, administrator and judge.

Also, in keeping with tradition, I promise I will frustrate many people with my wishy washy who really cares attitude. This year, the rules thus far are:

1) Nomination process

2) Vote for The Plan B Person of the Year 2017

For all new participants and those who have forgotten, I suppose I need to explain how one qualifies to ultimately become The Plan B Person of the Year:

The Plan B Person of the Year is not necessarily the best or smartest poster. It could be the worst poster. It could even be a past winner of the award or perhaps the director, administrator and judge of The Plan B Person of the Year committee.

Everyone is encouraged to nominate someone and/or add your choice to nominate someone who has already been nominated. The nominations will be treated as primary votes and the top three nominee count getters will be placed into the final poll to allow everyone to cast their vote for The Plan B Person of the Year 2017.

You may explain your reasoning and campaign for your nominee or you can just nominate somebody and shut up. If you are not sure who to nominate, maybe you should consider nominating yourself and attempt to convince everyone why you should be The Plan B Person of the Year 2017.

If there are an equal number of votes for two or three people who have the highest number of nominations, they will be the top two or three. Any variations on this will be dealt with as needed. This means, of course, that I haven't really thought this through much and so there will likely be problems that need solving and people will get pissed off at the solution I come up with.

So, now it's time to choose your preferred candidate. Or not. This year's The Plan B Person of the Year may be a gigantic flop and the thread may die from neglect and disappear forever into a big cyber black hole. Nominations will be taken until I decide we've had enough nominations or until I decide we don't have enough nominations and there is not enough interest in The Plan B Person of the Year 2017.

Now think for a minute and then nominate somebody! Or not.

Obviously, there's such wide-spread satisfaction with the phenomenal job being done by the current Plan B Person Of The Year, there's very little interest in voting-in a replacement...

I suppose you're right, LJ. The fact that everybody has lost interest in the Annual Plan B Person of the Year ceremony is clearly a tribute to your ability to be phenomenal.

Keep up the good work. We're all counting on you to guide us through these difficult times.
