Last month, a King’s College professor told a harmless joke on an elevator during an International Studies Association conference — and now, he’s facing disciplinary charges. According to an article in The Chronicle of Higher Education, Professor Richard Ned Lebow was on a crowded elevator when Simona Sharoni, a professor of gender studies at Merrimack College, asked him what floor he needed, and Lebow jokingly answered, “ladies’ lingerie.” Seems harmless, right? At the very least, nothing to write home about, right? Apparently not. Sharoni got so offended by the joke that she filed a complaint with the International Studies Association. “I am still trying to come to terms with the fact that we froze and didn’t confront him,” she wrote in the complaint.
Dear god, where will it all end? Will it be deemed offensive to mention that women exist?
I must admit that this whole farago did remind me of this;

His first — and biggest — mistake was engaging in any sort of interaction, conversation, or banter with someone involved in the field of m⃥a⃥l⃥e⃥ ⃥b⃥a⃥s⃥h⃥i⃥n⃥g⃥ gender studies.
And then she states that “I am still trying to come to terms with the fact that we froze and didn’t confront him”? Jesus H. Christ on a pogo stick!! Sounds like she needs a little more b⃥r⃥a⃥i⃥n⃥w⃥a⃥s⃥h⃥i⃥n⃥g⃥ i⃥n⃥d⃥o⃥c⃥t⃥r⃥i⃥n⃥a⃥t⃥i⃥o⃥n⃥ education in her chosen field to better hone her sense of outrage until it's an autonomous reaction, like yanking one's hand away from a hot surface.
He should write her a letter of apology — copies to the ISA, King's College, and Merrimack College, of course — giving this poor little snowflake and her entourage of enablers exactly what they are asking for .... along with a writ? release? affadavit? quit-claim? whatever document is required for her and all other involved parties to execute that confirms that the matter is at an end and no further actions, whether it be within the academic environment, a court of law, or the court of public opinion, will be pursued.
And if any of these flag-bearers for the IAPOW (International Association of Perpetually Offended Women) refuse to do so, then *HE* should go to the media and expose them for the hypocrites that they are, whose only interest is to see how much shit they can stir up. -"BB"-

All the prof had to do is say "men's lingerie" and nothing would have been made of this. It's very strange how just one similarly sounding word could make all the difference.
Next up: man plays "Got your Nose" with child, in public space; giant internet controversy erupts over allegations of anti-Semitism.

From now on he should take the stairs.
Now now, that would be offensive to transgender persons and cross dressers.
