The Trump administration said Monday it had reached a new, 16-year trade deal with Mexico, setting in motion a rapid chain of events that could redraw the world’s largest trade agreement.
The ultimate scope of the deal could hinge on whether Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau decides to join the agreement after months of feuding with President Trump.
White House officials said the agreement, centered largely on manufacturing, would help American workers by making it harder for countries like China to ship cheap products through Mexico and then into the United States. Harmonizing labor and environmental rules would also protect U.S. jobs and salaries, the officials said, by making it less attractive for U.S. companies to move operations to Mexico.

Why don't we surrender to Canada, and let them become our "foreign masters"?

They're even "more like us" than the Russians...

Not only are they (mostly) white, but they even speak the same language, (sort of) so we won't have to learn a new one...

Plus they're a lot more polite than the Russians; they'll probably say "please" and "thank you" while they're ordering us around...

I think it’s common sense we surrender to our Canadian overlords; they can get their hockey teams back, and we can all get some decent affordable healthcare!

However I am guessing the Canadian people wouldn’t be too keen on being saddled with 325 million asshole Americans and our 270 million privately owned firearms.

I would choose the Chinese in a second over those honkey mother fuckers. So you see Jim it is not about race but advantage. It would be more advantageous for my people to live under our Chinese cousins than those hate mongering son of a bitches. What's this "my people" bullshit?  I thought you were supposed to be an American which, last time I checked, was a single-word descriptor for "one who lives in or is a citizen of the United States of America"; no other modifying prefix — like 'Afro', 'Asian', 'Arab', 'Polish', 'Native', or 'Ignorant Bastard' — necessary.  I guess I was wrong, and you're still so slavishly tied to your particular little petty clan or tribe or cluster of goat-ropers or whatever that you are pissing all over any place that you do not consider the home of "your people" ... or at least remolded into a little replica/clone of it.

And since it became clear that attacking this particular Canadian for being gay wasn't bothering him, lib has now adopted this virulent anti-Canadian tact to try and get under his skin...

No I am going to continue to use that I don’t care if it bothers it or not. I don"tgive a damn about it being homosexual but because it is so accurate. You heard the saying his brains are in his dick; well, it has its brains in its asshole. That is why I call it “ greasy shit for brains”. And don’t worry, it likes being shit on. Canadian and U.S. negotiators were apparently close to a deal on Friday when Mr. Art of the Deal blew everything up with some off-the-record comments to Bloomberg that were apparently overheard by a third party and reported in the Toronto Star:

Trump made his controversial statements in an Oval Office interview with Bloomberg News on Thursday. He said, “off the record,” that he is not making any compromises at all with Canada — and that he could not say this publicly because “it’s going to be so insulting they’re not going to be able to make a deal.”

“Here’s the problem. If I say no — the answer’s no. If I say no, then you’re going to put that and it’s going to be so insulting they’re not going to be able to make a deal ... I can’t kill these people,” Trump said of the Canadian government.

In another remark he did not want published, Trump said that any deal with Canada would be “totally on our terms.” He suggested he was scaring the Canadians into submission by repeatedly threatening to impose tariffs on imports of Canadian-made cars.

“Off the record, Canada’s working their ass off. And every time we have a problem with a point, I just put up a picture of a Chevrolet Impala,” Trump said. The Impala is produced at the General Motors plant in Oshawa, Ont.

Bloomberg agreed to Trump’s request to keep the comments off the record. But the Star, which obtained the quotes from a source, is not bound by any promises Bloomberg made to the president, and it published the quotes after they became part of the critical negotiations.

The "master negotiator" blowing yet another deal. The man is a menace.
