Yep it's a farm in a way. We are loving it here and my small but growing company is moving slowly so all is fantastic.

sadly we lost all the chooks to foxes so no more eggs for us.

I intend to be aqround a bit more now. After the X took the house and left me kids out on the street well things looked really bad.
BUT!!! We have turned it around and made the best of it and I think I came out on top. I did have to leave mt three eldest in town and I don't see two of them anymore. ( didn't like the move and blame me for leaving them) One of the youngest two live here the other comes every second weekend and for school holidays.

so with my life moving forward and a wonderfull woman to take care of me what else could I ask for?

I am so very happy here. I get up each day and look forward to getting out to do the farmer thing. We are taking 4 pigs to the butchers Monday so I am hoping to make my first profit from the land.

As my 13y/o said it's like being on camp everyday.

I feel sorry for the rest of you

You're taking four little piggies to market?

Oh, the humanity!!!

Are you a farmer, rancher or both?

I feel sorry for me too. :)

Your living my dream Aardy. Good on you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I imagine I would.

Are you going to try your hand at smoking some bacon? You could end up being one of those quaint farm produce businesses.

It might sound inhumane but they will tast so good.

As for smoking them I wouls like to try that but I will need to get some larger rolly papers.

Joe Guy - I am a small scale farmer.. swell it is mire like weget piglets grow them till big enough to butcher. So nothing big at all.

But my company Kangaroo Kilts is moving along and I hope that I will be selling enough to make that my full time job.
Now if anyone wants a cotten kilt please let me know.

Wow Aard, last I heard from you was when you were really having your problems. I am so glad to see life has turned around for you!
Me, I am now living on a deer ranch (yep, I raise white tailed deer). I love the farm life myself and have no intentions of moving back to any city ever again!

Beaglz You lucky bugger! I was looking into breading dear here. But the cost of 8 foot fences and the lisance to keep dear here is way out of my range.

As far as the problems still have a few but I am past the worst of it and moving ahead. Ok side ways

It's been 9 months since I moved and I find it hard to drive into town now. I have to go back most weeks to keep an eye on my parents and do the let's go to the big shops with the kids.
