This an update on my three pet peeves:

The first is the reclassification or Europe and Asia as one continent of Eurasia. Anyone with common sense and a world map can easily see that it one continent. And that Africa is separate continent. In writings on the internet and in print I have been seeing more and more acceptance of Eurasia as a continent especially among Scientist.

We seem to be losing the BC/AD verse (before the common era) BCE / CE (common era) struggle; I see increasing usage of this subversive dating system. Let the atheist devise their own system instead of stealing the Christian calendar.

The good news is that the racist and stupid Afrocentric mind set has suffered two defeats in recent years.
The first occurred a few years ago when a Sub- Saharan African political leader ( I forget the person and the country) claimed that the local African cow was a separate species of cow domesticated in black Africa. DNA test proved it was crap. All cattle on earth are directly relates to the cow domesticated in Eurasia. It is interesting how this claim disappeared from the internet after it was proved false.

The second occurred in 2017. For decades so called Afrocentric scholars had claimed that the ancient Egyptians were a black (Negroid) race. DNA testing provided scientific proof that ancient Egypt was not a black nation. They were closely related to the other people of the Middle East and more closely related the people of Eastern Europe than Sub-Saharan Africa

After trying repeatedly to extract it, many scientists were convinced that the hot desert climate and, perhaps, the chemicals used in mummification destroyed any genetic material long ago. Now, a team of ancient DNA specialists has successfully sequenced genomes from 90 ancient Egyptian mummies.

[Johannes Krause, a geneticist at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History in Jena, Germany, and his] team compared the mummies’ mitochondrial and nuclear DNA to ancient and modern populations in the Near East and Africa. They discovered that ancient Egyptians closely resembled ancient and modern Near Eastern populations, especially those in the Levant. What’s more, the genetics of the mummies remained remarkably consistent even as different powers conquered the empire.

Later, however, something did alter the genomes of Egyptians. Although the mummies contain almost no DNA from sub-Saharan Africa, some 15% to 20% of modern Egyptians’ mitochondrial DNA reflects sub-Saharan ancestry. “It’s really unexpected that we see this very late shift,” Krause says. He suspects increased trade along the Nile—including the slave trade—or the spread of Islam in the Middle Ages may have intensified contact between Northern and sub-Saharan Africa.

I am not sure what can be concluded about the racial origins of ancient Egypt from mummy DNA studies. Only the very high ranked were mummified in such a way* that DNA might be preserved, and it is not impossible that the pharaohs and their hangers-on were derived from a different caste than the bulk of the population. Nubian slaves were common, and it is not impossible that there was a bit of Sally Hemmingsing going on. I would be surprised if there was not a significant sub-Saharan DNA component to the bulk of Ancient Egyptians' racial makeup.

* There were at least three general methods of mummification - pharaohs et alii got the gold package, priests and merchants the silver, and the plebs and their cats got the bronze package which was essentially drain the liquids out and hope for the best.

I have read a bit about what one can extrapolate from the study of DNA. They have examined DNA and found that there was a migration out of Africa into Europe. Those brave Africans partied quite a bit with the local Neanderthals and made babies. Then some of the offspring decided to head back to Africa, thus a "reverse migration" that strung DNA all along the trail and into Ethiopia. So it would seem likely that ancient Egyptians would show themselves to be a special blend with the 2-4% Neanderthal DNA darling liberty might also have. I expect that skin tone would vary, just as it does among humans today. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/04/scie ... ution.html

There was an article about a month ago ... ahh, found it; here it is ... in which identical twins — who, if I remember my high school biology correctly, are the result of a single fertilized zygote that split during mitosis and became TWO separate zygotes, both of which should possess the exact same DNA sequence — tested five major companies claiming to determine one's ancestry through mail order, sample-and-return DNA testing.  To make a long story short, the five companies were all over the board ... but the key takeaway is that even when the tests on the two women were done by the same company and should have yielded nearly-identical results (allowing for a reasonable margin of error), the results still varied significantly.

So I'd take any claims of ancestry using DNA testing ... and especially DNA that is a couple of millennia old and has been mummified to boot ... with a large grain of salt.

Nubian slaves were common
And let's not forget the 25th Dynasty...The period when the Nubians actually conquered and ruled Egypt:
In 728 BC a Nubian king named Piankhy, or Piye, led an army from Nubia north into Egypt and conquered the land, establishing the Twenty-Fifth Dynasty in the process. Although the Nubian Twenty-Fifth Dynasty lasted less than 100 years, its kings were very active in shaping Egypt’s political situation. The Nubians also influenced Egyptian culture of the Late Period – the period from approximately 728 BC until the Christian Era – by promoting “archaizing” features in royal ideology and art. Their influence on Egyptian art is perhaps the most noticeable because it reintroduced older styles, while putting their own unique stamp on the finished products, especially in reliefs and statuary, as they usually depicted themselves with their distinct sub-Saharan racial features instead of as typical Egyptians.

However, relations between the two peoples also show peaceful cultural interchange and cooperation, including mixed marriages.

Think of that lib...

Negroes actually conquering and ruling white folks...

But maybe lib's thinking of Hanky Panky which is what happens when there are no tissues (or socks) available....

Well Jim if your goal was to teach me something I didn’t know you are some years too late. It is true the Nubian rule of Egypt only lasted about a hundred years. But, it was impressive as the only successful invasion of the Middle East from the south all the others came from the steppes. To understand why this was the case, look at the terrain.

And the Egyptians are Caucasian but they have been so called white.

Assyrians. Babylonians. Persians. Greeks. Romans. Arabs.

What do these all have in common?

(1) They all successfully invaded and conquered significant real estate in the Middle East, and ruled over it for as much as hundreds of years.

(2) None of them came from the steppes.

Don't forget that all lib's ancestors came from the steppes. He told us so months ago. I didn't know they stopped off in Egypt along the way.

I'm not sure about this but it may be some confusion about mummies.

Yes, mummy = an ancestor.

Yes, mummy = an ancient Egyptian.

It's all starting to make sense.

You guys can’t understand how frustrating this could be if I allow myself to become frustrated. I proof read this twice and saw “never” both times, but somehow magically it is not here this morning. It should have read:
And the Egyptians are Caucasian but they have never been so called white.

The Egyptians ancient and present belong to the same branch of the human race as the Europeans ( whites) but are not European and never have been and we are not talking just geography.

everyone knows that the egytians were half alien.

it was on TV.

most were named jose....

they called them moist-backs, as they had crossed the Nile.

a choice few were African queens....., they were known mostly by their lack of education, vulgar language and could be identified in the dark only by the stench coming from their weaves......

Here you go, wesw.

A horribly overlooked, and underrated, telling of the absolutely true history of the Ancient Egyptians.

Image

And it is well documented that it was Queen Ahaneith who had a thriving business selling flax almanashif to the many "moist-backs" who swam ashore.
