There has been so much human toxicity stirred up by DJT and his minion, it is hard to find anyplace that isn’t slung with their feces. The other day I woke up to the horrible news of the Christchurch mosque massacres and then had to listen to some dumbass spewing Trump nonsense while I attended my ankle PT session; it was all I could do not to scream SHUT THE FUCK UP at him - I’m all for free speech, but when did people lose all sense of which spaces are appropriate for spewing ideological nonsense? (Hint: the shared exercise space of the physical therapist’s practice isn’t one of them.)

Anyway, this is a roundabout way of getting at my point about how I’m trying to preserve my own mental health by limiting my exposure to hateful people with incurable personality disorders and the people who love them. In recent weeks since wesw’s return he has come to dominate this board, AGAIN. I don’t find him at all amusing, nor his posts thought-provoking in any positive or meaningful way. Others here clearly feel differently.


If he ever leaves again, I hope somehow someone will let me know. I think I’m friends with one or two of you on Facebook.

BSG, I read wesw's screed to see what he has to say next. I do, however, have the power to scroll past anything that appears to be "wesw at his worst" (which is often hard to differentiate) -- and there's a lot to ignore there. As for myself, I don't censor anyone on the interweb.

I find it extreme that you're ditching the forum and using wesw as your reason. I assumed you, as a lawyer, are able to see both sides of an issue regardless how it hits you on a visceral level.

OTOH, I know your health isn't where you'd like it to be and if wesw's nonsense stresses you out that much than do what you think best.

I did put wesw on ignore, but for the last several days when I’ve opened the forum it’s been 98% threads started by wesw containing random spewing of ugly vitriol by wesw interspersed by quotations of wesw’s vitriol by others responding to wesw’s vitriol. So basically nearly all wesw, all the time - with a couple of quizzes and random thoughts on the side.

If he’s really exiting I’ll stick around. If he’s going to keep doing the lunatic board spamming I won’t. He can call me crazy all he wants - I’m pretty sure we all know projection when we see it. Feel free to give George Conway’s twitter feed a peek for the latest edition info on the DSM.

eta: Now EVERYONE is going to pile on me for saying this I’m sure, but to be honest, as vile as wesw is, it is no more entertaining watching everyone else pig pile on him than it is to read his vitriolic Trump-ass-sucking posts. It’s just a yucky dynamic that gives me an icky vibe and as long as those two things remain the majority activity of this board I don’t want to be around.

Honestly, I sort of feel the same way. I open the threads and it's all wes, all the time. Even though I blocked him months ago, so many people quote him it's unavoidable. I won't even open a thread started by him or if he is the last response. Which means all I seem to do is mark the forums read rather than actually reading them. I have far less time to be wasting here anymore as it is, and trying to find anything interesting without stepping in wes's manure piles is not worth it.

Well guess what, I've stopped coming here due to the Trump/Wes overdose.

A few months ago Wes asked me to ban him, I think I'll take him up on that offer.

The wes overdose was something we can control if we want to. Ignore him or ban him or whatever - he occasionally sometimes every now and then once in a blue moon makes an intelligent point which, although usually entirely wrong, is worth trying to understand.

As to Trump overload: well, he's the elephant in the room - sort of difficult to ignore.
